Container House Expansion Box

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The container house expansion box is a modular building product that adds lateral or end expansion compartments to a container to increase usable area. Common sizes are 20 feet and 40 feet, with the expanded usable area increasing by 30%-50%.

Structural Features

  • Base Carrier: Using a standard container as the carrier, it is transformed into an independent office or living unit.
  • Expansion Design: Lateral or end expansion compartments are added to the container, enabling rapid expansion and retraction through technologies such as sliding support systems and built-in hinges. For example, a 20-foot double-wing expansion box, when expanded, provides approximately 36 square meters of indoor usable area, meeting residential or storage functional requirements.
  • Materials and Workmanship: High-strength steel structural frames are used. For instance, a fully steel-framed packing box has a wind resistance rating of up to Level 12 and an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8, with a frame deformation rate of only 0.18%, well below the industry's acceptable threshold of 0.3%. Some products are optimized for thermal insulation to adapt to cold regions or use sand-resistant and high-temperature-resistant materials to meet extreme environmental demands.

Application Scenarios

  • Long-term On-site Office: Suitable for scenarios requiring high spatial comfort, such as engineering camps and construction site command centers, enhancing usable area and functional zoning flexibility through expansion compartments.
  • Overseas Projects: During transportation, expansion compartments are retracted to be compatible with international shipping container dimensions (e.g., two 40-foot shipping containers can transport four sets of 20-foot double-wing expansion boxes). Upon arrival at the site, they are expanded to increase actual usable area, reducing transportation and storage costs.
  • Emergency Support: When folded, the volume is only 1/5 to 1/4 of the expanded state, allowing a single truck to carry 15-20 sets of products, quickly meeting short-cycle, large-space demands such as emergency rescue shelters and temporary medical stations.

Advantages

  • Space Efficiency: The expanded usable area increases by 30%-50%, balancing transportation efficiency with actual usage needs.
  • Reusability: Supports multiple disassembly and reassembly cycles for reuse, with compliant products averaging over 8 disassembly and reuse cycles, reducing construction waste emissions by approximately 90%.
  • Scenario Adaptability: Through modular assembly, customized exterior facades, and internal functional modifications, it adapts to diverse scenarios such as engineering camps, mobile commerce, cultural and tourism accommodations, and emergency support.
