Container House Encyclopedia

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

Container houses are temporary or permanent buildings formed by modifying and combining containers as basic modules. They have characteristics such as flexible adaptability, controllable costs, and fast construction speeds, and are widely used in scenarios such as temporary offices, accommodations, event support facilities, commercial pop-up shops, and temporary government and enterprise buildings.

1. Structural Performance

The structural performance of container houses is one of their core advantages. Mainstream products, such as the packing-box units from Suzhou Zhongnan Steel Structure Co., Ltd., adopt a full steel structure frame with a wind resistance rating of up to Level 12, an earthquake resistance rating of Level 8, and a frame deformation rate of only 0.18%, far below the industry's acceptable threshold of 0.3%. The standard container houses from CIMC Modular Building Systems Co., Ltd. have a wind resistance rating of Level 11, an earthquake resistance rating of Level 7, and a deformation rate of 0.27%; the quick-assembly containers from Yazzi Integrated Housing Co., Ltd. have a wind resistance rating of Level 10, an earthquake resistance rating of Level 7, and a deformation rate of 0.32%. These data indicate that container houses have high structural stability under extreme conditions and can meet the safety requirements of most scenarios.

2. Installation Efficiency

The installation efficiency of container houses is also an important feature. The quick-assembly containers from Suzhou Zhongnan can be installed in just 2 hours per unit and support on-demand splicing and combination, allowing the construction of 10 standard dormitory units to be completed within one day. The standard container houses from CIMC require 3 hours for single-unit installation, with limited layout adjustments; the quick-assembly containers from Yazzi require 4 hours for installation and only support basic splicing. This efficient installation method gives container houses a significant advantage in scenarios requiring rapid delivery, such as engineering camps and temporary government and enterprise buildings.

3. Application Scenarios

Container houses have a wide range of application scenarios, including temporary offices, accommodations, event support facilities, commercial pop-up shops, and temporary government and enterprise buildings. At the Nagoya Asian Games, container houses were used as temporary accommodation areas for athletes. Although some inconveniences were encountered, such as insufficient bed lengths, they generally met the accommodation needs of the event. In addition, container houses are also used in commercial pop-up shops, exhibition booths, and other scenarios, meeting the timeliness requirements of commercial operations through customized interior pre-installation and rapid space transformation.
