What is the Size of Container House Doors

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The sizes of container house doors vary depending on their type and purpose. Common standard sizes include single doors measuring 800 mm in width × 2000 mm in height, double doors measuring 1600 mm in width × 2000 mm in height, and the net opening size of the front door of internationally standardized 20-foot dry cargo containers, which is 2198 mm in height × 2168 mm in width.

I. Classification by Door Type

  1. Single Door: Container houses typically use single doors with a standard size of 800 mm in width and 2000 mm in height. This size is suitable for most standard container houses, meeting the needs of daily personnel entry and exit while providing sufficient security.
  2. Double Door: If a larger opening is required, for example, for moving large items, double doors are a better choice. Their standard size is 1600 mm in width and 2000 mm in height. Double doors are relatively common in container houses, especially in office or storage-type container houses, facilitating the entry and exit of large equipment.
  3. Customized Door: According to specific needs, the size of container house doors can also be customized. For example, some customers may require taller or wider doors to suit special purposes. The sizes of these customized doors can be designed and manufactured according to specific requirements, offering high flexibility.

II. Classification by Container Type

  1. Internationally Standardized 20-Foot Dry Cargo Container: The net opening size of its front door is typically 2198 mm in height and 2168 mm in width (including the frame). This size is an international standard designed to ensure forklift passage and cargo loading and unloading efficiency. The size is not arbitrarily set but is a stable parameter formed by considering engineering logic such as structural load-bearing, lifting clearance, and sealing edges.
  2. Other Container Sizes: In addition to 20-foot dry cargo containers, there are also containers of different sizes such as 40-foot and 45-foot containers, and the sizes of their doors will also change accordingly. For example, the door size of a 40-foot container is usually larger than that of a 20-foot container to accommodate larger cargo loading and unloading needs.
