Container House Door is Double Door

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The door of a container house can be a double door, and this double-door design is relatively common in container houses, especially in office buildings or warehousing scenarios. The following is an explanation from three aspects: structural characteristics, standard dimensions, and application scenarios:

Structural Characteristics of Double-Door Containers
The core feature of a double-door container is the installation of two pairs of doors at one or both ends of the container body, with a door width significantly larger than that of a single-door design. This structure connects the door panels to the container body via hinges, allowing for a large opening when opened, facilitating the direct entry and exit of large equipment, bulk cargo, or loading and unloading tools such as forklifts. The door frame is usually reinforced with high-strength steel to ensure structural stability during frequent opening and closing, while being equipped with a multi-point locking system to ensure sealing and security. For example, in warehousing scenarios, the double-door design enables rapid loading and unloading, reducing cargo handling time; in office buildings, double doors enhance spatial transparency and meet the needs of dense personnel entry and exit.

Standard Dimensions of Double-Door Containers
According to industry standards, the common dimensions of double-door containers are a door width of 1600 millimeters and a door height of 2000 millimeters. This size is based on the modular design of international standard containers, allowing it to fit conventional transportation tools (such as trucks and container ships) and meet the entry and exit needs of most equipment and cargo. If a larger opening is required, some customized double-door containers will expand the door width to over 2000 millimeters by adjusting the door frame structure or adopting a folding door design. However, it should be noted that such designs may affect the overall strength of the container body and require compensation through reinforcing beams or special materials.

Application Scenarios of Double-Door Containers

  1. Warehousing Container Houses: The double-door design enables direct 'door-to-door' loading and unloading, avoiding secondary handling of cargo outside the container and reducing the risk of damage. For example, in logistics parks, double-door containers are often used as temporary warehouses, where forklifts can directly push palletized cargo into the container.
  2. Office Buildings: Double doors enhance spatial openness and are suitable for scenarios requiring frequent personnel movement, such as conference rooms and reception rooms. Some designs also add observation windows on both sides of the double doors to balance lighting and privacy.
  3. Special Operation Scenarios: In scenarios requiring the entry and exit of large equipment (such as power emergency repairs and medical rescues), double-door containers can be quickly deployed as temporary operation rooms, with their large opening design facilitating equipment hoisting and commissioning.

It should be noted that the sealing performance of double-door containers may be slightly inferior to that of single-door designs. Therefore, in humid or dusty environments, it is necessary to strengthen the sealing of door seams or use auxiliary measures such as built-in desiccants and dust curtains to ensure a stable internal environment.
