Container House Door Frame Height

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

The door frame height of container houses varies depending on the type and purpose of the container, with common standard heights being 2000mm, 2100mm, 2198mm, etc. Details are as follows:

1. Single and Double Doors of Container Houses
The standard height of a single door in a container house is typically 2000mm, with a width of 800mm, suitable for daily entry and exit. The standard height of a double door is also 2000mm, but the width increases to 1600mm, facilitating the handling of large items. The design of these door frame heights takes into account both ergonomics and cargo handling requirements, ensuring the convenience of personnel passage and equipment handling.

2. Front Door of 20-Foot Dry Cargo Containers
The internal clear opening height of the front door of internationally standardized 20-foot dry cargo containers is 2198mm (including frame), with a width of 2168mm. This dimension is a stable parameter formed by integrating engineering considerations such as structural load-bearing, lifting clearance, and sealing edges, ensuring the efficiency of forklift passage and cargo handling. For example, when renovating an old house's bathroom, if the door opening height is close to 2180mm, this type of container door can be directly adapted.

3. Customized Entrance Doors of Container Houses
Some customized entrance doors of container houses adopt a nominal inner clearance of 900mm×2100mm (width×height), with a door frame height of 2100mm. This design is commonly found in office or storage-type container houses, enhancing safety and thermal insulation performance through a thickened insulation layer (50mm) and an aluminum alloy frame.

4. Other Special Sizes

  • Custom-made Doors: Door frames can be customized to be taller or wider according to needs, such as for container houses with specific purposes.
  • Non-standard Containers: For example, the entrance door size of a 10-foot non-standard container can reach 820mm×2020mm (width×height), with a door frame height of 2020mm, suitable for scenarios with limited space.
  • Packaged Container Houses: The internal height is usually 2500mm, and the door frame height needs to be determined in combination with the wall thickness (such as 75mm color steel glass wool sandwich panels) and renovation requirements, generally being lower than the internal clear height.
