Container House Design PPT
When creating a PPT on container house design, you can elaborate on the following aspects: an overview of container architecture, design methods, creative cases, and key design points:

Overview of Container Architecture
Container architecture uses containers as basic modular units. Structural fabrication and interior decoration are completed in factories, and these units are rapidly assembled on-site into various styles of buildings according to different purposes and functions. Also known as “modular container houses,” they are movable and reusable prefabricated buildings. With a development history of only 20 years, they have become widely known to the public in the last decade. In the early days, due to rudimentary technology, they were mostly temporary buildings with functions limited to offices or exhibition halls. Now, with mature technology, they are commonly used for residences, shops, art galleries, etc.
Design Methods
- Modular Combination Design: The standard-sized containers have limited net interior space, with low ceiling heights and narrow, long horizontal spaces. During renovation, adaptive modular combination designs are usually adopted. By combining containers, various buildings can be created, achieving unique artistic qualities, from small single-container buildings to large modular complexes.
- Deformation and Expansion: For single-container buildings, the container panels can be folded down to create terraces for space expansion or flipped up using hydraulic rods to form canopies. Additionally, container doors can be opened according to internal functional requirements, and deformable and movable interior items can be used to create composite spaces.
- Telescopic Expansion: The entire container can be functionally divided, such as into a living room and a resting area. One side panel of the resting area can be movable, with sliding wheels inside the wall. During transportation, it is fixed inside the container, and after arrival at the destination, it can be slid out to obtain a larger interior space.
Creative Cases
- Container Villa Residence: Composed of four 30-square-meter containers, with two on the ground floor and two on the upper floor, staggered with each other. Two terraces are staggered at the front and back of the second floor, with a total area of 120 square meters and well-defined functional zones.
- Small B&B Hotel: Made up of four 6-meter-long containers, with sanitary facilities, a technical room, a storage room, and a four-bed guest room on the ground floor. On the upper floor, there are four guest rooms sharing a terrace, and the rooms have small round windows connecting with the surrounding landscape.
Key Design Points
- Structural Safety: Ensure that the container structure is stable and meets the building's load-bearing requirements.
- Exterior Design: Use elements such as colors and materials for decoration to give the building a unique visual effect.
- Functional Zoning: Reasonably plan the functions of different areas to meet usage requirements.
- Lighting and Ventilation: Design appropriate lighting and ventilation systems to ensure a comfortable indoor environment.
