Container House Customization Guide

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

Customizing a container house requires comprehensive planning from five aspects: demand positioning, manufacturer selection, design key points, construction process, and maintenance management:

I. Clarify Demand Positioning Determine the type of container based on the usage scenario:

  • Energy Storage/Equipment Type: Prioritize manufacturers with professional R&D capabilities, such as Zhonghui Energy Storage Container Company. Their products need to meet functions like dustproofing, waterproofing, temperature control, and explosion prevention, and are suitable for scenarios such as power station energy storage and park power distribution.
  • Commercial/Residential Type: If used for homestays, shops, or villa courtyards, pay attention to spatial layout, lighting and insulation, and exterior design. For example, using 2-3 containers for splicing can expand functional areas such as living rooms and bedrooms; installing large floor-to-ceiling windows and roof skylights can improve lighting; adding internal insulation layers to the walls and using triple-glazed windows can achieve warmth in winter and coolness in summer.

II. Select High-Quality Manufacturers

  • Full-Chain Service Capability: Give priority to manufacturers with integrated R&D, production, and installation capabilities, such as Wuhan Jinxiang Light Steel Housing Co., Ltd. This can avoid the hassle of multiple-party coordination and ensure full control from demand communication to on-site implementation.
  • Customization Level: Select manufacturer types according to needs. For example, Lisheng Integrated Housing is good at temporary office buildings and commercial container shops but cannot undertake energy storage projects; while Zhonghui Energy Storage can not only make energy storage containers but also customize creative shops, with a wider range of applicable scenarios.
  • Regional Adaptability: If the project is in complex terrain areas such as Hubei, it is recommended to choose local manufacturers (such as Wuhan Jinxiang) to shorten the transportation cycle and obtain faster after-sales support.

III. Design Key Points

  • Structural Safety: The thickness of the main beams and columns' steel should meet the standards, the welding process should be full without cold welds, and the container body should be galvanized or sprayed with anti-corrosion treatment as a whole. For example, customization in Beijing needs to meet the JGJ/T 435-2018 standard, with the column wall thickness not less than 2.3mm.
  • Modular Expansion: If multi-story or row combinations are required, confirm whether the manufacturer has multi-story frame connection technology and waterproof node processing capabilities to avoid poor stability or water leakage after combination.
  • Functional Integration: Pre-bury water and electricity pipelines, smart devices, or expansion chambers according to the purpose. For example, Chengdong International's "container + expansion chamber" model can expand the usable area by 100%-200%, suitable for cultural and tourism projects.

IV. Standardize the Construction Process

  • Approval Procedures: For long-term residence, apply for housing construction approval according to local requirements and provide structural drawings; construction on cultivated land and basic farmland is strictly prohibited, and forestry approval is required for forest land.
  • Foundation Construction: The container needs to be elevated on pile foundations to prevent moisture and insects and facilitate site leveling; the container body should not be directly placed on the ground to avoid the bottom being soaked in moisture.
  • On-Site Installation: Choose manufacturers with trial assembly experience to ensure that the components match correctly; parts such as around doors and windows and container body splicing seams need to be treated with sealant and replaced every 5-7 years.

V. Post-Maintenance Management

  • Rust Prevention and Corrosion Protection: All cutting and welding incisions during the construction stage must be polished and coated with epoxy primer + topcoat; check welds, wall corners, and other parts every year, and immediately repaint if rust spots are found.
  • Waterproof Sealing: Regularly clean roof leaves to avoid clogging the drainage; in southern humid areas, shorten the sealant replacement cycle to 5 years.
  • Condensation Control: Reduce internal condensation through internal insulation layers and ventilation design to avoid equipment damage due to moisture.
