Construction Technology of Container Houses

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

The construction technology of container houses mainly includes preliminary preparations, assembly techniques, and sealing treatment skills, as detailed below:

Preliminary Preparations

  1. Site Survey and Foundation Design: Observe the terrain to determine the foundation plan, such as using graded crushed stone replacement + concrete cushion; plan the drainage system, set the slope of the apron slope (not less than 3%), and add open drainage ditches on sloped land; select concrete strip foundations, steel foundations, or direct hardened ground placement based on geological conditions, and make corresponding treatments.
  2. Inspection of Container Materials: Check for deformation in corner fittings; if the deviation exceeds 2mm, return them. Tap the side beams and roof panels to assess rust levels; if the weld thickness is less than 3mm, perform weld repairs. Replace aging and cracked door panel sealing strips, and conduct water pressure tests to check for internal water leakage.
  3. Design Briefing and Tool Preparation: Organize workers to familiarize themselves with the construction drawings, highlighting key information such as entrance locations and pipeline routes to ensure construction meets design requirements.

Assembly Techniques

  1. Foundation Preparation: Ensure the foundation is level and stable, prioritizing concrete foundations or steel frame supports, and embed connecting pieces for subsequent module fixation.
  2. Module Positioning: Use lifting equipment to precisely position container modules, leaving a gap of about 10cm between adjacent containers to provide operating space for structural connections and sealing treatments.
  3. Structural Connections:
    • Corner Fitting Connection: Tightly connect the corner fittings of adjacent containers using high-strength bolts to form an overall frame structure, enhancing stability.
    • Wall Panel Assembly: Use dedicated connecting pieces such as C-channels and I-beams to fix the joints between side wall panels and roof panels, ensuring surface flatness meets standards.
    • Roof Panel Assembly: Adopt overlapping or locking edge techniques for roof panels, covered with waterproof underlayment to prevent rainwater from infiltrating through the joints.

Sealing Treatment Skills

  1. Structural Joint Sealing:
    • Joint Filling Material: Fill the joints between containers with expanding foam or rubber strips as a backing to form an elastic support layer.
    • External Sealing: Apply weather-resistant sealant (such as silicone sealant), ensuring the sealant strip covers at least 2cm on both sides of the joint with uniform thickness, forming a continuous waterproof layer.
    • Internal Treatment: Apply sealant inside the joints or install decorative trim strips, balancing sealing performance with aesthetics.
  2. Sealing Around Door and Window Openings:
    • Embedded Seal Strips: Pre-install EPDM rubber seal strips between door and window frames and wall panels, ensuring a compression rate of about 30% for elastic sealing.
    • Joint Sealing: Apply sealant around the contact area between the frame exterior and wall panels to form a secondary waterproof barrier.
  3. Roof and Vent Openings: Install waterproof gaskets around all penetrating pipelines or vent base units, and apply sealant to prevent rainwater backflow.

Construction Recommendations: Check the flatness of containers before installation to avoid poor connections due to deformation; perform sealing work in a dry environment and avoid water contact before the sealant cures; conduct a water spray test after completion to verify the sealing effectiveness meets standards.
