Container House Construction Plan
Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026
The construction of container houses requires comprehensive consideration of structural selection, spatial design, construction specifications, and compliance requirements. Here are the specific plan highlights:

I. Structural Selection and Suitable Scenarios
Container houses can be classified into standard container type, foldable type, assembled type, expandable type, and customized creative type based on their structures.
- Standard container type: Using 20-foot or 40-foot containers as carriers, it is suitable for scenarios such as project departments and construction site command centers, with a sturdy structure and convenient transportation.
- Foldable type: It compresses its volume during transportation and can be unfolded within ≤30 minutes, suitable for scenarios such as exploration teams and temporary command posts that require frequent relocation.
- Assembled type: It adopts a combination of light steel keels and color steel plates, with on-site modular assembly. It can be flexibly expanded according to the number of people and functional divisions, suitable for temporary offices in parks and event planning sites.
- Expandable type: It adds side or end expansion cabins on the basis of containers, increasing the usable area by 30%-50%, suitable for long-term on-site offices.
- Customized creative type: It combines elements such as glass curtain walls, wood grain finishes, and irregular structures, used in scenarios such as brand exhibitions and cultural and creative parks, balancing functionality and visual expression.
II. Spatial Design and Functional Optimization
- Layout design: By splicing or staggered stacking 2-3 containers, functional areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms can be expanded. For example, connecting two containers can form a flat layout of approximately 100 square meters, including an integrated living and dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a bathtub.
- Lighting and insulation: Install large floor-to-ceiling windows, roof skylights, or glass partitions to enhance indoor brightness; add internal insulation layers to walls/roofs and choose triple-glazed windows to achieve warmth in winter and coolness in summer, with better thermal insulation performance than red brick walls.
- Multi-functional furniture: For small units (e.g., 15 square meters), it is recommended to use folding beds, folding tables, and integrated cabinets to enhance space flexibility.
III. Construction Specifications and Quality Control
- Foundation construction: Containers need to be elevated on pile foundations to prevent moisture and insects and facilitate site leveling.
- Structural connection: When stacking multiple containers, strictly control the verticality, and the node connections need to be treated for earthquake resistance and loosening prevention.
- Waterproof sealing: Focus on inspecting the waterproofing works on roofs, doors, windows, and joints to prevent rainwater leakage.
- Material selection: Prioritize the use of light steel frames with rock wool sandwich panels for enclosure to ensure structural stability and fire resistance.
IV. Compliance Requirements
- Land nature: Rural homesteads require construction approval and structural drawings stamped by engineers; farmland and basic farmland are strictly prohibited from construction; forest land requires forestry approval; leased land is mostly only for temporary structures, and the contract needs to clarify the nature of use.
- Approval process: Container houses belong to steel structure buildings and need to provide structural safety certificates according to local requirements to avoid being identified as illegal constructions.
