Concrete Pouring in Container Houses

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

Container houses generally do not have concrete poured directly inside them, but the foundations of some types of container houses require concrete pouring, and there are construction methods similar to those of prefabricated concrete houses. Details are as follows:

Structure of Container Houses and Concrete Pouring

Common container houses are mostly made of steel and have two production and processing techniques. One is directly transformed from shipping containers; the other is designed structurally in a factory, with the top and bottom made according to container dimensions, connected by high-load-bearing columns to form a frame, and then combined with color-steel sandwich panels as walls. These types of container houses generally do not have concrete poured inside them. Their advantages include strong mobility, with 90% of the materials being recyclable, and as temporary buildings, they do not require complex land approvals.

Concrete Pouring for Foundations of Some Container Houses

Different types of container houses have varying foundation requirements. Foldable container houses and fixed residential container houses have low foundation requirements; they can be placed directly after leveling the ground, and if conditions permit, a cement floor can be poured and drainage ditches made for more comfortable living. Packing-box container houses have simple foundation requirements; they can have strip or蹲型 (this term may need further clarification or translation as it's not a standard English term; for now, it's kept as is for reference) foundations, or even be placed directly on the ground without foundations. However, residential mobile panel houses have high foundation requirements; the foundation needs to be poured into a certain area of concrete, and the house and foundation need to be bound with expansion screws, and the first layer of concrete foundation cannot be reused during demolition.

Construction Methods Similar to Prefabricated Concrete Houses

There is a construction method for prefabricated concrete panel houses, where concrete components are poured and formed in a factory in advance and then transported to the site for assembly. These houses have fast construction speeds and stable structures and are widely used in temporary offices, emergency housing, homestay construction, and other scenarios. There is also concrete modular construction, where the entire building is divided into independent house modules, and most processes such as the main structure and water and electricity pipelines are completed in a factory. These modules are then transported to the site and assembled like building blocks. Relevant intelligent production lines have been put into use in China, significantly shortening the overall construction period compared to traditional construction methods.
