Container House Bedroom with Bed

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

The beds in container house bedrooms are usually single beds, mostly measuring 195 centimeters in length and 90 centimeters in width. Here are the specific details:

During the 2026 Nagoya Asian Games, the organizing committee used container houses as accommodation facilities for some athletes. These container houses are essentially temporary prefabricated houses used for emergency living after earthquakes. Each unit is 12 meters long and 2.4 meters wide, divided into two households, with each household accommodating three athletes. The beds configured in the bedrooms are single beds, uniformly sized at 195 centimeters in length and 90 centimeters in width. For people of average height, such beds are just barely adequate, but for tall athletes like basketball players over two meters tall, they are rather cramped, with ankles hanging off the end of the bed and difficulty turning over.

In addition to the bed size issue, there are other living inconveniences in these container house bedrooms. For example, due to the limited height of the containers, tall athletes may feel confined; each room is equipped with only one air conditioner, which is difficult to meet cooling needs in hot weather, and the organizing committee even suggests leaving the door open before going to bed to cool down the room; the sound insulation is poor, and earplugs are needed to sleep at night; the aisles in double-bed rooms are narrow, and two people in the room must give way to each other.

However, there are also some creatively renovated container houses with more reasonable and comfortable bedroom designs. For example, a designer renovated two 18-square-meter containers, using the right-hand container as the bedroom and bathroom area. The interior decoration is in a simple Japanese style, with a color scheme dominated by white and gray, complemented by natural wood tones. It also features a very large double bed, a full-length mirror, and a white wardrobe, enhancing living comfort and aesthetics. However, such renovation cases are relatively rare, and most container house bedrooms are designed to meet basic living needs.
