Container House Aunt

Quản trị 15 tháng 9, 2026

Container houses come in a variety of sizes. The common standard size is 6 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.8 meters in height, with an area of 18 square meters. In addition, there are specifications such as 3 meters and 7 meters in length, as well as custom sizes.

I. Common Standard Sizes

  1. 6-meter Standard Container: With a length of 6 meters, width of 3 meters, height of 2.8 meters, and an area of 18 square meters, it is the most common specification in construction sites, road construction, and other scenarios. Its standardized size facilitates transportation and stacking, and the interior space can meet basic office or accommodation needs.
  2. 3-meter Small Container: Measuring 3 meters in length, 3 meters in width, and 2.8 meters in height, with an area of 9 square meters, it is suitable for scenarios with relatively small space requirements, such as temporary storage or single-person accommodation. Due to material utilization issues, such sizes are usually customized as needed.
  3. 7-meter Two-story Container: With a length of 7 meters, width of 3 meters, height of 2.8 meters, and an area of 21 square meters, it is often used for two-story container mobile homes, equipped with corridors and balconies, and is suitable as management offices or small office spaces.

II. Custom Sizes

According to project requirements, container houses can be fully customized in size. For example:

  1. Giant Building: A certain black steel-structure building is composed of 16 containers, each 12 meters long, 2.4 meters wide, and 3 meters high, spliced into a four-story structure with a total area of several hundred square meters, serving functions such as residence, café, and event space.
  2. Expandable Container House: The combined size is 3 meters in width, 6 meters in length, and 3 meters in height. When expanded, it can reach 5.5 meters in width, 6 meters in length, and 3 meters in height, with the interior area expanding from 18 square meters to 33 square meters. The folding design enables flexible space adjustment.

III. Basis for Size Selection

  1. Functional Requirements: For temporary office or accommodation, the 6-meter standard container is usually selected; for large commercial spaces, multiple containers need to be combined or custom sizes are required.
  2. Transportation Limitations: Standard container sizes comply with international transportation regulations. For custom sizes, considerations such as road height and width restrictions need to be taken into account.
  3. Site Conditions: Narrow sites may require non-standard sizes to adapt to the space, such as diagonal stacking or tiered design.
