Installation of Temporary Mobile Toilets at Construction Sites

Quản trị 27 tháng 9, 2026

The installation of temporary mobile toilets at construction sites must follow standardized procedures to ensure safety, practicality, and compliance with environmental requirements. The specific steps and precautions are as follows:

I. Pre-installation Preparations

  1. Site Survey: Determine the installation location in advance, prioritizing flat and solid ground areas, away from main construction roads, foundation pit edges (recommended distance ≥1.5 meters), and pollution sources to prevent toilet tilting or damage due to construction vibrations or settlement.
  2. Material Verification: Check that the mobile toilet unit is intact and confirm that all accessories are present (e.g., door locks, flush valves, sewage pipes, sealing tapes). If any deformation, missing parts, or damage is found, immediately contact the supplier for replacement to avoid rework after installation.
  3. Foundation Preparation: Clear ground debris based on the toilet type (single or connected units). For single toilets, a gravel foundation (thickness ≥10 cm) can be laid directly. For connected toilets or higher load-bearing requirements, a concrete foundation (strength ≥C20, thickness ≥15 cm) must be poured to ensure a load-bearing capacity ≥200 kg/㎡ (standard for single-person toilets).

II. On-site Installation Steps

  1. Unit Positioning: Use a forklift or crane to lift the toilet unit smoothly to the designated location, maintaining levelness during lifting to avoid tilting or collision. Unified command is required for multiple personnel to ensure alignment between the unit and the foundation.
  2. Drainage Connection: Connect the sewage pipe to the construction site drainage system or temporary collection pit, sealing the interface with sealing tape or cement to prevent leakage. For water-flush toilets, it is recommended to install an anti-backflow valve to prevent sewage backflow.
  3. Flush System Debugging: Connect the water supply (tap water or dedicated water tank), test whether the flush function is normal, and check if the drainage pipe is unobstructed. If flushing is weak or drainage is blocked, adjust the water pressure or clean the pipe.
  4. Internal and External Inspection: After installation, check that internal facilities (e.g., sinks, hooks, toilet paper holders) are secure and inspect the external unit for sealing to ensure no water or air leaks.

III. Other Precautions

  • Type Selection: Choose the toilet type based on construction site needs. For example, in waterless areas, stainless steel waterless packing squat toilets (supporting floor or buried installation, without sewage pipes) can be selected; for high environmental requirements, circulating water-flush toilets can be chosen.
  • Safety Tips: Set up clear signs around the toilet, keep it away from flammable and explosive materials, and ensure electrical safety (e.g., grounding protection when using electric flushing equipment).

IV. Usage and Maintenance Recommendations

  1. Daily Cleaning: Assign dedicated personnel to clean the toilet daily, replenish consumables such as toilet paper and hand soap, and disinfect regularly (recommended once a week) to prevent bacterial growth.
  2. Regular Maintenance: Inspect the equipment's electrical circuits, valves, and flush system monthly, and report for repair promptly if any faults are found to prevent minor issues from becoming major damages.
  3. Emergency Handling: If sewage pipe blockage or unit damage occurs, immediately stop using and contact a professional rental team for assistance in repair.
