Specifications of Portable Toilets at Construction Sites

Quản trị 05 tháng 10, 2026

The specifications of portable toilets at construction sites vary depending on the usage scenario and requirements. Common specifications can be categorized into single-unit, multi-unit combinations, and special-needs types, as detailed below:

I. Single-Unit Dimensions

Single-unit portable toilets are the most basic configuration at construction sites, with dimensions designed to balance user comfort and space utilization:

  • Width: Typically ranges from 1.0 to 1.2 meters, with some models being 1.0 or 1.1 meters wide. The mini single-person version can be compressed to 1.0 meter in width to fit narrow spaces.
  • Depth: Ranges from 1.0 to 1.5 meters, with some compact models being 0.8 meters deep. Standard models usually have depths between 1.1 and 1.5 meters.
  • Height: Generally ranges from 2.0 to 2.5 meters, with common specifications being 2.2 to 2.4 meters, ensuring sufficient internal space and facilitating the installation of ventilation equipment.
  • Typical Cases: The single-person standard model measures 1.2 meters (width) × 0.8 meters (depth) × 2.2 meters (height), while the mini single-person version measures 1.0 meter × 1.0 meter × 2.2 meters, suitable for short-term small construction sites or areas with low personnel turnover.

II. Multi-Unit Combination Dimensions

Multi-unit combination portable toilets are suitable for construction sites with dense personnel or long-term use, enhancing usage efficiency through modular design:

  • Overall Width of Double-Squat Units: Approximately 2.0 to 2.4 meters, with depths similar to single units (1.0 to 1.5 meters) and heights maintained at 2.2 to 2.4 meters.
  • Double-Person Partitioned Type: Dimensions are 1.8 meters (width) × 1.2 meters (depth) × 2.4 meters (height), with independent partitions inside to balance privacy and space utilization.
  • Multi-Partitioned Luxury Type: Dimensions are usually above 3 meters (width) × 2 meters (depth) × 2.5 meters (height), accommodating 4 to 6 independent squat units and equipped with facilities such as sinks and ventilation systems, suitable for long-term large construction sites or scenarios with high hygiene requirements.

III. Special-Needs Dimensions

For specific populations or functional requirements, the dimensions of portable toilets need further adjustment:

  • Barrier-Free Toilets: The width should be ≥1.5 meters, and the depth should be ≥1.8 meters. Common specifications are 1.8 meters × 1.5 meters × 2.4 meters, with barrier-free facilities such as handrails and low-position sinks installed inside.
  • Environmentally Friendly or Special-Function Types: Dimensions are similar to those of ordinary types, but the internal structure is optimized according to technical requirements, such as adding sewage treatment devices or solar power supply systems. The height may be slightly adjusted due to equipment installation needs.

Materials and Configurations: Portable toilets are mostly made of color-coated steel plates, metal carved panels, or steel structure frames, featuring corrosion resistance and easy cleaning. Internal configurations include squat toilets, sinks, lighting, etc. High-end models are equipped with air conditioners or ventilation systems to improve the user experience.

Application Scenario Recommendations: For short-term small construction sites, single-person standard or double-person partitioned types are recommended. For long-term large construction sites, multi-partitioned luxury or environmentally friendly types are suggested. During installation, space should be reserved for connecting ventilation and sewage pipes, and regular cleaning and maintenance should be conducted to avoid odors.
