Partition for Mobile Toilets at Construction Sites

Quản trị 10 tháng 10, 2026

The partition for mobile toilets at construction sites should not be lower than 0.9m in height, primarily serving to protect personnel privacy while meeting relevant regulatory requirements.

Basis for Partition Height Standards

According to the standards for the installation of sanitary facilities at construction sites, partitions installed between squatting positions in mobile toilets must meet the requirement of not being lower than 0.9m. This standard is formulated based on ergonomic and privacy protection needs: a height of 0.9m effectively shields the upper body of users, preventing privacy breaches due to line-of-sight penetration, while also considering ventilation and space utilization. If the partition is too low (e.g., below 0.8m), privacy may be compromised due to variations in personnel height or changes in squatting posture; if it is too high (e.g., exceeding 1.2m), it may affect air circulation inside the toilet, increasing the risk of odor accumulation.

Partition Material and Installation Requirements

Partition materials must possess waterproof, moisture-proof, and easy-to-clean properties to adapt to the construction site environment. Common materials include high-density polyethylene (HDPE), stainless steel, or anti-corrosion wood panels:

  • HDPE Partitions: Lightweight and durable, with strong corrosion resistance and a smooth surface that is easy to wipe clean, suitable for long-term outdoor use;
  • Stainless Steel Partitions: Structurally stable with excellent fire resistance, but higher in cost, mostly used in scenarios with extremely high durability requirements;
  • Anti-Corrosion Wood Panels: Natural material with a gentle touch, but requiring regular maintenance to prevent mildew.

During installation, ensure that the partitions are firmly connected to the floor and walls to prevent shaking caused by personnel movement or wind. A 10-15cm gap should be left at the bottom of the partitions to facilitate floor cleaning and prevent water accumulation and corrosion.

Optimization Suggestions for Practical Applications

  1. Privacy Enhancement Design: Install frosted glass or acrylic panels (approximately 20-30cm in height) at the top of the partitions to further block the line of sight while allowing light penetration;
  2. Ventilation Optimization: Set up strip-shaped vents (width ≤ 5cm) on the sides of the partitions to promote air circulation and reduce odors;
  3. Humanized Details: Install hooks or shelves on the inside of the partitions to facilitate users in hanging items and enhance the user experience.

By reasonably setting the partition height, selecting appropriate materials, and optimizing detail design, the privacy protection level and practicality of mobile toilets at construction sites can be significantly improved.
