Floor Settings for Mobile Toilets at Construction Sites

Quản trị 13 tháng 10, 2026

There is no absolute uniform standard for the floor settings of mobile toilets at construction sites. Common regulations include setting them every 3, 4, or 5 floors, usually starting from around the 8th floor.

Floor Settings under Different Standards

  • Every 4 floors: One viewpoint suggests that mobile toilets at construction sites are generally set up every 4 floors, starting from the 8th floor. This setup takes into account the daily usage needs of construction workers and the actual conditions of the construction site. On lower floors, the number of construction workers is relatively small, and their activity range is relatively concentrated. Setting up a mobile toilet every 4 floors can meet usage needs while reasonably controlling costs and site occupation. Starting from the 8th floor, as the floor height increases, the time cost for construction workers to go up and down the stairs increases. Appropriately increasing the density of mobile toilet setups can improve construction efficiency.
  • Every 3 floors: According to the "Environmental and Sanitary Standards for Construction Sites" (JGJ146), mobile toilets and smoking areas should be set up every 3 floors in a building. This standard places greater emphasis on ensuring the sanitary environment and usage convenience for construction workers. Setting up a mobile toilet every 3 floors enables construction workers to reach the toilet in a short time, reducing the time wasted on searching for toilets and improving work efficiency. At the same time, setting up smoking areas on the same floor as mobile toilets also facilitates unified management of the construction site environment.
  • Every 5 floors: For high-rise building construction exceeding 8 floors, it is advisable to set up temporary toilets every 5 floors. This setup mainly takes into account the characteristics of high-rise building construction. As the floor height increases, the construction difficulty and risk increase, and the activity range of construction workers is relatively large. Setting up a temporary toilet every 5 floors can to a certain extent meet the usage needs of construction workers while avoiding increased construction costs and management difficulties due to setting up too many toilets.

Comprehensive Consideration Factors

In actual construction, the floor settings of mobile toilets also need to comprehensively consider factors such as the scale of the building, the number of construction workers, and the construction period. For example, for large-scale construction projects with a large number of construction workers, it may be necessary to appropriately increase the density of mobile toilet setups. For projects with a short construction period, the floor settings can be flexibly adjusted according to the actual situation.
