Concrete Pipe Prefab House Structural Diagram

Quản trị 19 tháng 9, 2026

Currently, a detailed structural diagram of concrete pipe prefab houses is not directly provided, but the structural characteristics and expansion methods can be explained by combining relevant design information.

The core structure of concrete pipe prefab houses is based on a cylindrical design, with a typical example being the OPod Tube Housing designed by James Law Cybertecture in Hong Kong. This structure uses concrete pipes with a diameter of approximately 2.5-3 meters as the basic units, with each unit weighing up to 20 tons, achieving structural stability through the high strength of concrete. Its design advantage lies in buried adaptability: the cylindrical structure can evenly disperse soil pressure, making it suitable for burial underground or semi-underground. It also has fire-resistant, wind-resistant, soundproof, and heat-insulating functions, meeting living needs in extreme environments.

In terms of spatial expansion, concrete pipes can be combined in three ways:

  1. Horizontal Splicing: Multiple concrete pipes are arranged horizontally, and the joints are reinforced with steel structures to form a continuous linear space. For example, splicing two concrete pipes with an inner diameter of 3 meters can achieve a horizontal span of about 6 meters, suitable for open living rooms or multi-functional areas.
  2. Vertical Stacking: Concrete pipes are stacked vertically through load-bearing modifications (such as adding steel structure supports or concrete columns) to form a multi-story structure. Each floor requires reserved stair or ladder access, and the stacking height is limited by the foundation's bearing capacity, usually not exceeding three floors.
  3. Radial Combination: Using one central concrete pipe as the core, multiple units are connected outward in a radial pattern to form a star-shaped layout. This design is suitable for public spaces or community centers but requires precise calculation of the angles between units and the strength of connection nodes.

Material and Construction Points:

  • The inner wall of the concrete pipe needs waterproofing treatment, and the outer wall can be coated with anti-corrosion paint to extend its service life.
  • The joints should be fixed with high-strength bolts or welded and filled with sealing materials to prevent leakage.
  • When stacking vertically, the bottom concrete pipe needs additional reinforcement to avoid deformation due to the weight of the upper layers.

For specific structural diagrams or construction plans, it is recommended to contact the design party (such as James Law Cybertecture) or concrete pipe prefab manufacturers to customize the design according to actual needs. This type of structure has application potential in temporary housing, underground facilities, or creative architecture but must strictly follow engineering specifications to ensure safety.
