Composition Form of Container Houses

Quản trị 17 tháng 9, 2026

Container houses are a form of housing constructed using containers as basic units, through combined splicing or modular assembly methods. Their composition forms can be analyzed from four aspects: structure, connection methods, materials, and form design:

1. Structural System: Steel Frame as the Core Support
Container houses adopt a steel frame structure (or steel skeleton structure), with standardized containers as the basic units. Each container is made by reasonably combining steel plates and profiles of different specifications, with some structures optimized using professional software to ensure overall strength and stability. The steel frame not only bears the main loads of the house but also provides basic support for subsequent assembly. Its standardized design enables rapid production of containers and adaptability to different scenarios.

2. Connection Methods: Flexible Combination of Bolts and Welding
The assembly between containers is mainly achieved through bolt connections or welding. Bolt connections are detachable and reusable, suitable for scenarios requiring frequent layout adjustments (such as temporary buildings and event exhibition halls). Welding provides a more stable connection, suitable for houses used for long-term fixed purposes (such as residences and office buildings). Both methods can be flexibly selected according to project requirements, and some complex structures may combine both processes to balance strength and flexibility.

3. Materials and Surface Treatment: Standardization and Customization Coexist
The main material of the container body is high-strength steel, and the surface can be sprayed with identification or protective coatings according to needs to enhance corrosion resistance and aesthetics. The house supports customized designs in standard sizes ranging from 20 to 60 feet, with adjustable parameters such as container thickness and material grade to meet requirements for different climatic conditions (such as wind resistance and thermal insulation) and usage functions (such as load-bearing and sound insulation). For example, the thickness of the insulation layer can be increased in cold regions, and anti-rust coatings can be selected in humid environments.

4. Form Design: Modular Assembly Creates Diverse Spaces
Through container assembly, diverse architectural forms can be achieved, including single-story, multi-story, stacked, or split-level structures. The modular assembly method allows for horizontal, vertical, or three-dimensional expansion, forming open office spaces, independent residences, or composite-function buildings. For example, two 20-foot containers assembled horizontally can form a spacious 40-foot living room, and multiple containers stacked can create multi-story residences. Even innovative assembly methods such as rotation and tilting can be used to create artistic architectural appearances.

The composition forms of container houses reflect the efficiency of industrial production and the flexibility of architectural design. Their standardized units and modular assembly modes provide innovative solutions for rapid construction and sustainable architecture.
