Chongzuo Container-Style House Construction

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

The construction of container-style houses in Chongzuo requires comprehensive consideration of various factors, including design planning, approval procedures, construction key points, and post-construction maintenance.

I. Design Planning

  1. Spatial Layout: Choose between splicing and combining or staggered stacking methods based on needs. For example, splicing 2 - 3 containers can expand functional areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Connecting two containers can create a flat layout of approximately 100㎡, including an integrated living and dining area, two bedrooms, and a bathroom with a bathtub. Staggered design can create rich spatial levels, with the ground floor reserved for a leisurely courtyard or aisle area to improve ventilation and lighting.
  2. Lighting and Insulation: Install large floor-to-ceiling windows, roof skylights, and glass partitions to increase indoor lighting, making the interior bright and transparent. Add internal insulation layers to walls and roofs, and choose triple-glazed windows to achieve a warm winter and cool summer effect, with better heat insulation than red brick walls. Set up roof eaves or terrace sunshades to prevent intense summer sun exposure and enrich the facade.
  3. Courtyard and Appearance: The exterior facade can be treated with paint spraying, themed spray painting, cladding, or glass curtain walls to break away from an industrial feel and create a villa-like atmosphere. Elevating containers on pile foundations can prevent moisture and insects and facilitate site leveling.

II. Approval Procedures

  1. Rural Homesteads: For long-term residence, it is necessary to follow local requirements for housing construction approval and provide structural drawings stamped by an engineer. Containers cannot be directly used as permanent residences without approval; otherwise, there is a risk of being identified as illegal construction.
  2. Other Land Types: Cultivated land and basic farmland are strictly prohibited from construction. Forestry approval is required for forest land. Leased land is mostly for temporary structures only and cannot be used as permanent residences. The contract should clearly state the nature of use.

III. Construction Key Points

  1. Selecting Manufacturers: Refer to relevant purchasing guides to evaluate manufacturers from dimensions such as process performance, compliance services, scenario adaptation, and input-output ratios. Choose manufacturers with advantages such as welding-free quick assembly processes, stable structures after multiple relocations and reuse, complete qualifications, and strong project delivery and after-sales implementation capabilities.
  2. Construction Process: All cutting and welding incisions must be polished and coated with epoxy primer and topcoat to prevent rusting.

IV. Post-Construction Maintenance

  1. Rust Prevention and Corrosion Resistance: Inspect welds, corners, bottoms, eaves, and other areas annually. Immediately polish and repaint any small rust spots found. Reapply heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings every 8 - 12 years in inland dry areas, every 7 - 10 years in southern humid areas, and every 3 - 5 years in coastal areas. Do not place the container directly on the ground; elevate the foundation to prevent the bottom from being exposed to moisture.
  2. Waterproofing and Sealing: Replace the sealant around doors and windows, container joints, and roof gutters every 5 - 7 years. Clean roof leaves annually.
