Emergency Toilets in Earthquake Emergency Shelters

The first earthquake emergency shelter in Hainan Province, built according to national standards, is located in Lvdi Square, Jinjiang Town, Chengmai County. This shelter fully considers the living needs in emergency situations and is equipped with comprehensive emergency toilet facilities. There are two public toilets on the east and west sides of Lvdi Square. These toilets are used by citizens for leisure activities during normal times and also have bathing functions during emergencies, providing relatively comprehensive living support for disaster-affected people. In addition, the shelter has also set up mobile toilets to meet emergency living needs. These mobile toilets have pre-built infrastructure such as septic tanks. When needed, activity boards can be erected on top to quickly transform them into public toilets. Currently, there are four such mobile public toilets set up in the shelter, which can provide toilet services for a large number of people in emergency situations and effectively alleviate sanitation pressure during emergencies.
