Chengcun Container Mobile House

Quản trị 16 tháng 9, 2026

Chengcun container mobile houses are movable buildings transformed from standard freight containers, featuring modularity, rapid assembly, environmental protection, and durability. They are widely used in residential, office, and commercial fields.

1. Structure and Materials
Container mobile houses use high-strength steel frames combined with insulation layers, waterproofing techniques, and soundproofing materials to ensure long-term stability for outdoor use. Their structures are divided into fixed, adjustable (such as wall panels that can be flipped or extended), and foldable types. The materials include steel (the most common), aluminum alloy (lightweight but costly), and composite sandwich panels. The modular design supports rapid assembly and disassembly without the need for foundation construction. Once connected to electricity and water, they can be put into use immediately, offering far greater flexibility than traditional buildings.

2. Functions and Classifications
According to functional purposes, they can be classified into accommodation, office, commercial service, sanitary, and special types (such as medical containers and explosion-proof containers). Based on spatial combinations, they can be categorized as single-container setups (such as sentry boxes and temporary dormitories), horizontally combined containers (conference rooms and exhibition halls), vertically stacked containers (multi-story dormitories and hotels), and offset/cantilevered structures (trendy homestays and cafes). For example, a project in Hangzhou used a combination of 12m × 4m × 3.2m containers to complete a 380,000-yuan showroom within 30 days.

3. Technical Standards and Safety
The design must comply with the "Technical Regulations for Modular Combined Houses," with a maximum of 6 floors, a height of ≤24 meters, and an earthquake resistance of ≤8 degrees. The structural load path is clear: panel secondary beams → main beams → corner columns → corner fittings → foundation, with corner fittings being the sole load-transfer points for stacking. Fire protection requires the use of Class A rock wool/glass wool with a fire resistance limit of ≥0.5 hours. Steel structures must undergo anti-corrosion painting treatment, with a normal service life of over 15 years.

4. Application Scenarios and Advantages
They are suitable for temporary offices, homestay startups, personal space expansion, and other scenarios. For example, a custom container was used for a suburban studio and weekend cottage, featuring full-house insulation and wood veneer finishes for warmth in winter and coolness in summer, with solar panels installed on the roof for off-grid living. Their advantages include:

  • Environmentally friendly and time-saving: Less construction waste, with a construction period 60% shorter than that of traditional buildings;
  • Cost-effective and flexible: Costs are controllable, supporting rental or purchase options, and they can be reused multiple times;
  • Aesthetically customizable: The exterior can be painted, and double-glazed windows and sunshades can be added to meet personalized needs.
