Mobile Toilet Built with Ceramic Tiles

Quản trị 22 tháng 9, 2026

Ceramic tiles can be used to make a mobile toilet, but there is a risk of leakage from the sewage pipe, so caution is required during operation and attention should be paid to usage details.

Production Steps

  1. Cutting the Ceramic Tile Base
Place the toilet on the ceramic tile, use a ruler to draw marking lines along the edge of the toilet, move the toilet away, and then use an angle grinder to cut along the marking lines to obtain a rectangular ceramic tile slightly larger than the bottom of the toilet. Keep the edges flat during cutting to avoid burrs affecting subsequent installation.

  2. Installing the Casters
Turn the cut ceramic tile over and place a caster at each of the four corners. Use a marker pen to mark the positions of the screw holes. Use an electric hand drill to drill holes at the marked points, ensuring the hole diameter matches the screws of the casters. Align the casters with the holes, insert the screw rods, and tighten the nuts to secure them. Finally, use an angle grinder to cut off the protruding screw rods on the back of the ceramic tile to prevent scratching the floor or affecting stability.

  3. Connecting the Sewage System
Place the toilet back on the ceramic tile, mark the position of the sewage outlet at the bottom of the toilet, and insert and fix a hose from the bottom of the ceramic tile. The hose should be made of a corrosion-resistant and flexible material to ensure smooth sewage discharge.

  4. Fixing the Toilet to the Base
Apply a circle of white cement along the marking lines on the ceramic tile, place the toilet according to the marking lines, allowing the cement to fully fill the gaps and enhance the bonding strength. After the cement dries, check whether the connection between the toilet and the ceramic tile is firm to avoid wobbling.

  5. Installing Accessories and Debugging
Move the toilet with the installed base to the bathroom, install components such as the water tank and toilet seat cover, connect the sewage hose to the drain pipe, and connect the water tank to the water inlet pipe. During debugging, check whether all connections are sealed, especially the interface between the sewage pipe and the hose, to prevent leakage.

Precautions

  • Leakage Risk: The connection between the ceramic tile and the sewage pipe is prone to leakage due to poor sealing. Before use, repeatedly check the interface between the hose and the drain pipe. You can add a sealing ring or use waterproof glue for reinforcement.
  • Stability: Choose casters with a strong load-bearing capacity to ensure that the toilet will not tip over when moving.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly check whether the cement bonding is cracked and whether the hose is aging. Replace damaged components in a timely manner.

This method of making a mobile toilet is suitable for temporary use or scenarios with limited space. However, for long-term use, the sealing problem needs to be solved. It is recommended to improve it with professional waterproof materials.
