Cement Prefabricated Panel House

Quản trị 18 tháng 9, 2026

A cement prefabricated panel house is a building constructed primarily using prefabricated panels, featuring specific structural characteristics, historical background, existing issues, renovation policies, and a diverse range of brands and specifications in the market.

Structural Characteristics

Prefabricated panels are cement components manufactured in factories. During production, a wooden mold is first nailed together, followed by the placement of steel bars and the pouring of cement to form the panel. These panels come in two types: solid and hollow. The hollow structure reduces the amount of non-load-bearing concrete, achieving lightweight construction while maintaining a certain level of strength, thereby reducing material usage and the building's self-weight.

Historical Background

This building form originated in the early 20th century and was initially used mainly for floor slabs and roof insulation layers. In China, residential buildings constructed before 1985 often adopted this structure. At that time, this construction method met the demand for rapid housing construction to a certain extent and played a positive role in addressing housing shortages.

Existing Issues

Existing prefabricated panel houses generally have some defects. Weak Earthquake Resistance: Due to structural design and material properties, prefabricated panel houses have poor earthquake resistance and are prone to damage during natural disasters such as earthquakes, posing a threat to the safety of occupants. Poor Sound and Thermal Insulation: Gaps may exist between prefabricated panels, allowing sound and heat to easily transfer, resulting in poor sound and thermal insulation inside the house and affecting living comfort. Limited Service Life: Generally, the service life of prefabricated panel houses is about 30-50 years. Over time, the structural performance of the house gradually declines, leading to various safety hazards.

Renovation Policies

Since 2022, China has implemented renovation policies, with the primary approach being repair and renovation of prefabricated panel houses, and only demolishing buildings that meet the criteria for dangerous structures. This policy aims to conserve resources and enhance the usability of houses while ensuring the housing safety of residents.

Market Situation

There are numerous brands of cement prefabricated panel houses on the market, such as Xinwei Hongtu, Wufang Yiju, and Shengxin. In terms of materials, in addition to cement, options include color steel and sandwich panels. The snow load and bearing capacity specifications also vary, with options like 100kg/m² and 1000kg/m², allowing for selection based on different usage scenarios and requirements.
