Bus Transformed into Mobile Toilet

Quản trị 08 tháng 10, 2026

Buses can be transformed into mobile toilets to cope with peak tourist flows. During the May Day holiday in 2026, the Jinci Scenic Area in Shanxi took innovative measures to effectively address the toilet shortage caused by peak tourist flows. They flexibly deployed buses as mobile men's toilets while temporarily converting fixed men's toilets into women's toilets, significantly enhancing the toilet reception capacity.

I. Specific Transformation and Deployment Measures
The Jinci Scenic Area temporarily transformed the men's toilet at the entrance, which had the highest foot traffic, into a women's toilet to meet the toilet needs of female tourists. At the same time, the scenic area deployed additional buses as mobile men's toilets. These buses underwent internal modifications and were equipped with necessary sanitary facilities such as urinals and sinks to ensure normal use by tourists. This measure not only increased the number of toilets but also optimized the ratio of men's to women's toilets, significantly improving the toilet experience for tourists.

II. Transformation Effects and Impacts
By transforming buses into mobile toilets, the Jinci Scenic Area successfully increased the average daily reception capacity of toilets in the area from about 3,000 people to around 5,000 people. This change effectively alleviated the toilet pressure during peak tourist flows, reduced the waiting time for tourists, and improved the overall service quality of the scenic area. Additionally, this innovative measure received widespread praise online, enhancing the scenic area's popularity and reputation.

III. Feasibility and Advantages of the Transformation
The transformation of buses into mobile toilets is highly feasible. Buses inherently have ample space, facilitating internal modifications and facility installations. Moreover, buses are mobile and can be flexibly deployed to different locations based on tourist flows to meet toilet needs in various areas. Furthermore, compared to constructing new fixed toilets, transforming buses into mobile toilets is more cost-effective and can be put into use more quickly, providing an effective solution for scenic areas to cope with peak tourist flows.
