Beijing Public Mobile Toilet Charges
Most public mobile toilets in Beijing do not directly charge users, but some temporary mobile toilets may charge a fee of 1 - 2 yuan in specific scenarios, and overall service procurement for mobile public toilets in specific projects does not charge users.

Charging Situation for Temporary Mobile Toilets
In some special scenarios, such as temporary mobile toilets set up during large-scale events like temple fairs, users may sometimes be charged a fee of 1 - 2 yuan. This is mainly because the setup of such temporary mobile toilets is temporary and targeted, and their operation and maintenance require certain costs. During the event, a large number of people use the toilets intensively, leading to increased consumption of cleaning and hygiene products as well as labor maintenance costs. The fee of 1 - 2 yuan is mainly to cover these cleaning and maintenance costs and ensure that the toilets can continue to provide a clean and hygienic environment for users. For example, during some Spring Festival temple fairs, due to the extremely high foot traffic, the usage frequency of temporary mobile toilets is very high. If no fee is charged, it may be difficult to maintain their normal operation and hygiene conditions.
Charging Situation for Mobile Public Toilets in Specific Projects
Take the mobile toilet service project on the east and west sides of Tiananmen Square and the south side of the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong in 2026 as an example. The winning bid amount is 4,448,862.56 yuan. The service scope of this project includes setting up tent toilets on the east side of Tiananmen Square with no less than 165 toilet stalls; setting up mobile toilets at two locations on the west side and the south side of the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong with no less than 30 toilet stalls at each location, with a total of no less than 195 toilet stalls, all of which are of the water-flush type. The service period is from March 20, 2026, to November 15, 2026 (the specific time is subject to the requirements of the purchaser). However, the cost of this project is an overall service procurement cost, which is paid by the purchaser to obtain a series of services such as the setup and maintenance of mobile public toilets, and is not charged to users. In other words, ordinary people do not need to pay an additional fee when using these mobile public toilets.
