Bay Window Prefabricated House
Bay window prefabricated houses primarily involve the application of prefabricated bay windows in prefabricated buildings, with connection methods, structural impacts, and construction techniques for bay window slabs being key points.

There are various connection methods between prefabricated bay windows and the main structure. Separate bay windows are connected to vertical members through on-site cast-in-place nodes. This method ensures a stable connection but involves a relatively complex construction process, requiring operations such as concrete pouring on site. Integrated prefabricated bay windows are formed as a whole with vertical members during prefabrication. This connection method offers higher construction efficiency and reduces on-site work volume, but it imposes higher requirements on the production precision of prefabricated components, necessitating precise alignment between parts.
Connection methods have an impact on the main structure. Flexible connections are preferred for connecting prefabricated bay windows to the main structure. Flexible connections can reduce the influence of the stiffness of prefabricated bay windows on the main structure, enabling more uniform load distribution within the main structure when subjected to forces, thereby improving the overall stability and seismic performance of the structure. However, in practice, bay windows are often rigidly connected to the main structure through on-site casting. In such cases, the impact on the main structure cannot be ignored. For example, in a residential building project where prefabricated bay windows were rigidly connected to the main structure through on-site casting, the proportion of force borne by the frame generally increased. Under horizontal force conditions, the force acting on the frame increased, and the torsional stiffness around the structural plane significantly increased. This requires that during structural design, full consideration must be given to the impact of this connection method on the main structure, and detailed structural calculations and analyses must be carried out to ensure structural safety.
There are differences in the construction techniques for bay window slabs. Most bay window slabs are constructed using on-site casting. In mainstream civilian residential buildings, bay window slabs are generally cast in place along with the ring beams and floor slabs of the main building. This technique results in a strong overall structural integrity, enabling better collaboration between different parts to more effectively resist loads and reduce the risks of leakage and cracking. In a few special scenarios, prefabricated bay window slabs are used, such as in some temporary buildings, small prefabricated construction projects, or simple bay windows added later. These scenarios have higher requirements for construction speed and convenience, and prefabricated bay window slabs can meet these needs.
