Apartment Mobile Toilet Position
Quản trị 21 tháng 9, 2026
The position of a mobile toilet in an apartment should be selected based on the drainage type and spatial conditions. Common methods and precautions are as follows:

I. Selection of Solutions Based on Drainage Type
Same-floor Drainage (Sunken Bathroom)
- The pipes are located on the same floor, eliminating the need to penetrate the floor slab. The toilet can be repositioned by simply adjusting the length of the pipes. Suitable for ultra-long-distance repositioning of ≥1 meter, but it is essential to ensure one-time acceptance approval; otherwise, later maintenance will require ceiling removal, resulting in higher costs.
- Advantage: The construction has no impact on the floor below, eliminating the need to coordinate with neighbors.
Inter-floor Drainage (Pipes Penetrating the Floor Slab)
- Toilet Position Shifters:
- Integrated toilet position shifter: Suitable for minor adjustments of ≤200 millimeters, without the need to raise the floor, but with limited displacement range.
- Elliptical flat-pipe toilet position shifter: Supports displacement of 200–500 millimeters, but requires raising the floor by 5 millimeters for every 100 millimeters of displacement, resulting in a noticeable floor elevation that may affect the ceiling height.
- Raising the Floor Slab: The entire floor slab is raised by 180–200 millimeters, with sewage pipes embedded inside, suitable for long-distance repositioning, but sacrificing some spatial height.
- Relocating the Riser Pipe: If the neighbor below agrees, the riser pipe can be directly relocated to above the target position. This modification is simple and cost-effective, but prior communication is required.
- Converting Floor Drainage to Wall Drainage: Connect the toilet to the adjacent wall of the sewage riser pipe, requiring the construction of a false wall to hide the water tank. This method is suitable for both same-floor and inter-floor drainage, but sufficient wall space must be reserved.

II. General Precautions
- Leak Prevention Treatment: After repositioning, the pipe connections must be sealed. When using flat pipes for repositioning, a “notch” should be cut in the threshold stone to prevent water accumulation and backflow.
- Requirements for Wall-mounted Toilets: The water tank must be at least 220 millimeters above the floor to ensure sufficient flushing force and prevent blockages.
- Waterproofing Construction: Waterproofing should be applied at least twice. For sunken bathrooms, waterproofing should be done before backfilling and before tiling to ensure no leakage.
- Distance Limitations: Repositioning distances exceeding 2 meters are prone to blockages. It is recommended to design the drainage slope in conjunction with the repositioning, with a slope of at least 2%.
- Neighbor Coordination: When inter-floor drainage involves modifying the riser pipe of the floor below, prior communication and consent must be obtained.
III. Advantages of Mobile Design
- Optimizing Movement Paths: For example, moving the toilet from directly facing the door to the side can avoid embarrassment during use while improving spatial utilization.
- Functional Separation: Through dry-wet separation or three-zone separation design, the toilet, shower, and washbasin areas can be independently separated, improving usage efficiency for multi-person households.
