Yanbian Microbial Mobile Toilet

Admin 10 de octubre de 2026

The Yanbian microbial mobile toilet is an environmentally friendly mobile toilet based on feces-urine separation and biodegradation technology, featuring harmlessness and resource conservation. It is suitable for environmentally sensitive areas and temporary venues.

Technical Principles

The microbial mobile toilet uses a feces-urine separation device to divide excreta into solid and liquid components for separate treatment. Solid feces are transported to a fermentation tank with added microbial carriers, where mechanical stirring promotes thorough contact between the microorganisms and feces. The metabolic action of the microorganisms is utilized for deodorization, fermentation, and decomposition. Ultimately, the feces are converted into carbon dioxide, water vapor (released into the air), and a small amount of solid residue (about 5%), which can be further processed into odorless organic fertilizer. Liquid urine is collected through a separate pipeline and converted into reclaimed water through microbial decomposition, which can be used for discharge or watering plants.

Environmental Protection Characteristics

  1. Harmless Treatment: The microbial community is non-toxic, harmless, and genetically stable, ensuring no secondary pollution during the treatment process and meeting environmental protection standards.
  2. Significant Sterilization Effect: During decomposition, the microbial community can consume harmful bacteria and miscellaneous bacteria in excreta, such as Escherichia coli and parasite eggs, achieving safe and hygienic harmlessness.
  3. Odorless Emission: The rapid and thorough decomposition by microorganisms effectively inhibits odor production, improving the usage environment.
  4. Resource Conservation: No water resources are required throughout the process, reducing water consumption compared to traditional flush toilets. Additionally, waste is converted into reusable resources (such as organic fertilizer and reclaimed water).

Suitable Scenarios

  1. Environmentally Sensitive Areas: Forest scenic spots, ecological protection zones, and other locations in the Yanbian area with strict pollution emission requirements should prioritize the use of such toilets to protect the ecological environment.
  2. Temporary or Fixed Venues: Construction sites, temporary work areas, and other scenarios with weak infrastructure or frequent relocation needs are suitable due to their low dependence on water and electricity and low maintenance frequency.

Maintenance and Management Points

  1. Microbial Agent Supplementation: Regularly add dedicated microbial agents to maintain microbial activity. In winter, when microbial activity decreases due to low temperatures, the frequency of addition should be increased to 1.5 times that of normal temperature environments.
  2. Daily Inspections: Conduct garbage removal, tissue replenishment, and surface disinfection every 6 hours to ensure equipment cleanliness and normal basic functions.
  3. Technical Maintenance: Check the sewage discharge valve, water pump, and sealing devices weekly to prevent equipment failures.
  4. Thorough Cleaning: After rental ends, perform overall disinfection, cleaning of the waste tank, and system reset to avoid residue affecting subsequent use.
