Xinqiao Container House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Xinqiao container houses mainly refer to housing structures that are renovated or constructed using containers as basic modular units, characterized by cost-effectiveness, flexibility, rapid construction, and low-carbon environmental protection.

I. Cost-Effectiveness The procurement and renovation costs of container houses are more economical compared to traditional buildings. Their overall costs can be reduced by 30%-50%, thanks to the economies of scale from factory production. Each container module undergoes structural welding, pipeline embedding, and interior decoration in the factory, requiring only modular assembly on-site, which reduces on-site construction costs.

II. Flexibility Container houses offer high adaptability and can be combined and assembled according to different functional requirements and site conditions. Whether for temporary exhibition venues, urban living rooms, public stations, or diverse scenarios such as non-standard commerce, creative offices, and rural cultural tourism, container houses can easily meet various usage needs.

III. Rapid Construction The construction period for container houses is short, with on-site assembly time being approximately one-fifth of that of traditional methods. For example, the Shanghai Gubei Station took only one month from concept proposal, design approval, factory production, to complete implementation. The actual factory production time was just a few days, and the on-site construction time was only a few hours, significantly improving construction efficiency.

IV. Low-Carbon Environmental Protection Container houses have significant advantages in low-carbon development. Their whole-life carbon emissions are much lower than those of traditional buildings, with substantial reductions in construction water consumption, concrete waste, and construction debris. Additionally, container houses have a high steel recycling rate, with factory production reducing on-site energy consumption and modular design facilitating later renovations, creating a complete closed loop from material recycling to energy self-sufficiency.
