Installation of Public Mobile Toilets in Xinjiang
The installation of public mobile toilets in Xinjiang involves aspects such as efficient installation techniques, the application of lightweight materials, installation process control, and installation scenarios in different settings.

Efficient Installation Techniques: Relying on modular prefabrication technology, the toilet structure is broken down into standardized components such as walls, roofs, and bases, with the main manufacturing processes completed in the factory. The components have uniformly sized connection interfaces at their edges, featuring snap-fit or bolt-type fastening designs for convenient on-site assembly, significantly reducing the time required for traditional civil construction. The reliability of modular component connections is ensured through structural sealing techniques. The joints are filled with closed-cell foam sealing strips and covered with weather-resistant sealing adhesive layers, enabling them to adapt to the thermal expansion and contraction of materials caused by the large temperature differences between day and night in Xinjiang, preventing gaps from forming due to deformation. The sealing materials are selected as modified silicone rubber with high low-temperature elastic retention, ensuring they remain flexible even under severe winter cold conditions.
Application of Lightweight Materials: The colored steel walls use aluminum-zinc-plated steel sheets as the base material, with a sandwich structure formed by filling flame-retardant polyurethane foam in the middle. This ensures structural strength while reducing the weight per square meter to less than one-fourth of that of traditional brick-and-mortar structures, reducing reliance on heavy lifting equipment and enabling the use of small and medium-sized transport vehicles for component delivery in areas with poor transportation access.
Installation Process Control: A fixed installation team carries out rapid on-site installation, strictly adhering to standards during construction. Before leaving the factory, multi-functional acceptance tests such as electrical and waterproofing tests are conducted to ensure safety. At the installation site, customers can conduct their own tests on dimensions such as waterproofing, electrical connectivity, and material thickness to ensure smooth delivery. Ecological disturbance during the installation process is controlled through a floating foundation system, which uses adjustable steel bracket support systems directly placed on the ground surface without the need for foundation excavation. The brackets are equipped with enlarged load-bearing plates at the bottom to distribute pressure and prevent excessive ground compaction. After relocation, the ground surface can quickly recover to its natural state once the brackets are removed.
Installation Scenarios in Different Settings: For large-scale events such as the 2025 Urumqi Marathon, a total of 485 mobile single toilets were installed at 19 fixed locations. Installation work began at the starting and finishing points, with a public toilet station set up every 2.5 kilometers. Different locations were equipped with varying numbers of toilet stalls based on pedestrian traffic volume, with all installations completed one day before the event. Pre-event inspections and deep cleaning were also conducted. For theme parks, there are custom-designed, ultra-cool corrugated mobile toilets for Xinjiang theme parks, with walls made of galvanized corrugated sheets and entirely hand-painted.
