Xi'an Container House Isolation

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Xi'an has adopted container houses as isolation points in epidemic prevention and control, and there is clear technical guidance to support the relevant construction. Here is a detailed introduction:

Practical Application Cases

The centralized isolation point project in Yanta District, Xi'an, is a typical example. This project has a total construction area of 32,000 square meters and covers an area of 97,000 square meters. It is divided into an isolation area and a logistics area. The isolation area includes 12 isolation units, while the logistics area includes dining kitchens, material warehouses, dormitories, and office buildings. The project consists of a total of 1,906 assembled units and can accommodate more than 1,000 people for isolation. All the wards in the project are constructed using container-style structures, utilizing eco-friendly materials with fire-resistant properties. Through professional integration and cross-deepening design, these units are prefabricated in factories and then assembled on-site according to their models. In addition, the second medical isolation point in Yanta District, Xi'an, also extensively adopts container-style construction. The part constructed by China Construction Science and Industry Corporation includes a total of 1,118 assembled units, including isolation rooms, garbage storage rooms, service rooms, management offices, and corridors.

Technical Guidance Support

The Xi'an Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau has issued the "Technical Guidelines for the Construction of 'Dual-Purpose (Peacetime and Emergency)' Tourism Residential Facilities in Xi'an (Trial)" and the "Technical Guidelines for the Construction of 'Dual-Purpose (Peacetime and Emergency)' Suburban Large Warehouse Bases in Xi'an (Trial)". Although these two guidelines do not directly target container house isolation points, they provide comprehensive technical guidance for the construction of 'dual-purpose (peacetime and emergency)' public infrastructure, including requirements for site selection and general layout, architecture, structure, water supply and drainage, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, electrical systems, and intelligence. These requirements are equally applicable to the construction of isolation points using container houses, ensuring that they meet corresponding functional and safety standards in both peacetime and emergency situations.
