Mobile Toilets in Wuxi Construction Projects

Admin 09 de octubre de 2026

The application of mobile toilets in Wuxi construction projects is flexible and diverse, covering scenarios such as construction sites, large-scale events, and tourist attractions, and achieving functional upgrades through intelligent and ecological technologies.

In construction site scenarios, mobile toilets are primarily characterized by flexibility and cost-effectiveness. The Wuxi Metro Line 5 project by China Railway Construction Engineering Group adopts a model of "movable container toilets + regular sludge removal services," which meets the high-frequency usage needs of workers through bi-weekly equipment rotation and reduces sanitation complaints on the site by 72% through standardized management. These toilets can be quickly set up, requiring only connection to water and power sources to be operational. Basic configurations include sinks, toilet paper, and trash bins, while high-end models are equipped with air fresheners and ventilation systems. Their rental fees are calculated on a daily basis, with investment costs significantly lower than those of fixed toilets, making them particularly suitable for short-term projects or those with frequently changing construction sites.

For large-scale event support, mobile toilets achieve efficient deployment through modular design. Taking the 2025 Wuxi International Marathon as an example, the event adopts a layout of "main venue clusters + track nodes": 200 mobile toilet units are set up around the main stadium, and 8-10 emergency toilets are placed every 2.5 kilometers along the track. All locations are equipped with real-time monitoring systems to dynamically adjust usage pressure. This layout ensures efficient crowd evacuation during peak hours and optimizes cleaning frequencies through monitoring data, avoiding resource waste.

Tourist attractions use mobile toilets to alleviate seasonal restroom pressure. During the Cherry Blossom Festival, Yuantouzhu Scenic Area adds 60 cherry blossom-themed mobile toilets with detachable designs, which can be completely removed within 2 days after the festival. This meets the sudden increase in visitor numbers during the short-term event while avoiding long-term impacts on the scenic landscape. These toilets are often integrated with the theme of the scenic area, enhancing the visitor experience while reducing maintenance costs through their quick assembly and disassembly features.

Furthermore, Wuxi has introduced intelligent and ecological technologies in public toilet construction, providing a direction for the upgrading of mobile toilets. The modular public toilet cluster in Daxi Port, Xinwu District, is equipped with an IoT system that monitors odor concentration in real-time and automatically ventilates, while cleaning robots automate cleaning processes, reducing manual intervention. Its high-concentration sewage resource recovery equipment can convert fecal matter into commercial-grade organic fertilizer and clean water vapor, achieving zero sewage discharge and aligning with green construction principles. These technologies can be gradually applied to mobile toilets to enhance their environmental performance and long-term value.
