Where Does the Feces from Mobile Toilets Go?
The destination of feces from mobile toilets varies depending on the type of toilet and its technological principles, and is mostly transported to specialized treatment plants for harmless disposal or resource utilization.

Water-flush and Waterless Suction Types: Water-flush mobile toilets use a water tank to flush feces into a bottom sewage tank, while waterless suction types directly receive excreta in the sewage tank. Both methods require regular suction using fecal suction trucks to transport feces to specialized treatment plants for harmless disposal, ensuring no environmental pollution.
Recirculating Water-flush Type: These mobile toilets use biofilm technology to treat fecal sewage. The treated water can be recycled for flushing, while feces are decomposed within the system, reducing the need for suction. This approach saves water resources and lowers treatment costs.
Dry Packaging Type: Dry packaging mobile toilets use biodegradable plastic bags to receive excreta. After each use, the system automatically replaces the bag with a new one, and feces are collected and transported to a treatment plant for disposal. This method is convenient for cleaning and transportation, and the plastic bags are biodegradable, making them environmentally friendly.
Foam Sealing Type: Foam sealing mobile toilets generate foam using a foaming agent to cover the toilet bowl, reducing odors and mosquito breeding. Feces remain inside the toilet and require regular suction or cleaning, eventually being transported to a treatment plant for disposal.
Microbial Degradation Type: These mobile toilets use microorganisms to separate solid feces from liquids and mix them with sawdust and bacterial strains for fermentation, decomposing them into carbon dioxide and water. Urine is treated into reclaimed water for reuse, with no pollution emissions throughout the process. Some treatment products can also be converted into organic fertilizer, achieving resource utilization.
Vacuum Suction Type (Vehicle-mounted Mobile Toilets): Vacuum suction mobile toilets use a vacuum pump to suck excreta into a collection tank, followed by transportation for treatment. This method is suitable for vehicle-mounted mobile toilets, facilitating the collection and treatment of feces during movement.
Resource-utilizing Zero-discharge Technology: Mobile toilets using resource-utilizing zero-discharge technology, such as ecological toilets, convert fecal water into organic fertilizer and water vapor through closed-loop fermentation, achieving zero emissions. This approach not only solves the problem of fecal treatment but also realizes the recycling of resources.
