What is a Prefabricated Floor Heating House

Admin 19 de septiembre de 2026

A prefabricated floor heating house refers to a house that uses prefabricated panel structures and is equipped with a floor heating system, achieving a combination of space utilization and heating functionality through modular design and efficient construction.

1. Compatibility of Prefabricated Panels and Floor Heating

Prefabricated panels are commonly used structural materials in modern construction, suitable for flooring, walls, and other applications. The floor heating system heats indoor spaces through radiant heat from the floor, and its installation requires consideration of factors such as the material, thickness, and density of the prefabricated panels. Lightweight prefabricated panels are more suitable for floor heating installation. During construction, floor heating equipment should be pre-installed, and thermal insulation materials (such as XPS extruded polystyrene boards with a thermal conductivity coefficient ≤ 0.035 W/(m·K)) should be laid to ensure heating efficiency and moisture resistance. Insufficient thermal insulation performance of the prefabricated panels may increase construction difficulty and costs.

2. Structural Features

  • Efficient Space Utilization: Prefabricated floor heating systems typically use ultra-thin dry-type floor heating modules, eliminating the need for a concrete backfill layer. The total thickness is only 20-30 mm, saving floor height and making them particularly suitable for renovations in old residential areas or buildings with limited floor height.
  • Modular Design: Some floor heating modules integrate insulation layers, reflective layers, and pipe channels, allowing direct flooring installation, simplifying the installation process, and shortening construction time. For example, prefabricated groove dry-type floor heating modules can be installed and used immediately.
  • Material Selection: High thermal insulation performance materials (such as XPS extruded polystyrene boards) should be combined to enhance insulation effects. However, the thermal insulation performance of the prefabricated panels themselves is limited and needs to be compensated through construction techniques.

3. Applicable Scenarios and Limitations

  • Residential Buildings: Widely used in high-end decorated residences, villas, and large apartments, especially suitable for areas with solid wood or composite flooring to avoid moisture damage from wet construction.
  • Commercial and Public Buildings: Suitable for scenarios requiring rapid construction, such as office buildings and shopping malls, as well as places with high environmental requirements like hospitals and libraries, providing uniform radiant heat and reducing dust.
  • Inapplicable Scenarios: Basements, humid environments, or heavy industrial plants (due to weak waterproof and moisture-resistant capabilities and limited load-bearing capacity).

4. Maintenance and Repair

The maintenance and repair of prefabricated floor heating systems are relatively complex and require professional operation. For example, carbon crystal floor heating modules have many underground connectors, and fault repairs may damage a large area of the floor, increasing repair costs and time.

Summary: Prefabricated floor heating houses achieve efficient space utilization and rapid construction through the combination of prefabricated panel structures and floor heating systems. However, strict material selection and adherence to construction specifications are necessary to ensure thermal insulation performance and long-term stability. Their modular design is suitable for scenarios with high requirements for floor height and construction time, but caution is needed in humid environments or heavy-load scenarios.
