Waterless Mobile Toilet

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

A waterless mobile toilet is an environmentally friendly toilet that can treat waste without traditional water flushing. It is also known as an eco-friendly toilet, ecological toilet, or mobile toilet, with the international common name being a non-sewered sanitation toilet.

Technical Principles

Waterless mobile toilets replace the water-flushing function with physical, biological, or chemical technologies. For example, some products are equipped with composite microbial communities that can operate stably at 40°C, treating waste through the biological degradation of excreta. Other types that employ microbial degradation technology do not require water for flushing or rely on complex pipe networks, efficiently converting fecal waste into harmless organic fertilizer. The core of these technologies lies in using microorganisms to decompose organic matter, reducing odors and achieving resource utilization.

Application Scenarios

This type of toilet is suitable for places without water supply and drainage systems, such as outdoor events, tourist attractions, and emergency disaster relief scenarios. Its flexibility allows for rapid deployment in areas that traditional public toilets find difficult to cover, such as remote mountainous regions, temporary gathering sites, or natural disaster sites, effectively addressing the shortage of sanitation facilities.

Structure and Materials

Some waterless mobile toilets are designed with a modular structure, for instance, containing six squatting positions, a restroom, and a urinal as a whole. The exterior material is selected as sheet metal baking paint, with customizable colors. The frame is welded with thickened galvanized steel, and the front wall design balances aesthetics and practicality. This structure ensures durability while facilitating transportation and installation.

Regulatory Standards

The production and use of waterless mobile toilets must comply with the national standard GB/T18092 - 2000 'Non-sewered Sanitation Toilets', which came into effect on October 1, 2000. This standard specifies the sanitary performance, structural safety, and environmental protection indicators of toilets, ensuring that products meet environmental and health requirements.

Advantage Summary

The core advantages of waterless mobile toilets lie in water conservation, environmental protection, and flexibility. They do not require connection to a water source or sewer system, significantly reducing water consumption. Through biological degradation technology, they reduce pollution and can convert waste into organic fertilizer. Their modular design enables them to quickly respond to the needs of different scenarios, making them an important solution for sustainable sanitation facilities.
