Water-Degrading Mobile Toilet
A water-degrading mobile toilet is a type of mobile toilet that employs specific technologies for the degradation of excreta, while also relying on water resources for assistance. The main technologies include the whole-machine water-based microbial fecal storage and degradation technology and the water-flushing water-saving technology.

Whole-machine water-based microbial fecal storage and degradation technology: This technology involves the stirring, mixing, and digestive degradation of excreta through microbial strains and carriers. For example, the Yuanting Smart Environmental Protection Public Toilet Station adopts this technology, with its core being the use of microbial metabolism to decompose organic matter in feces into harmless substances. This technology can effectively address toilet issues in areas without municipal sewage pipelines, as the degradation process occurs inside the equipment and does not rely on external sewage pipelines. However, although some mobile toilets using this technology emphasize water-free flushing, the overall system still requires a small amount of water for assistance. For instance, the electrically controlled movable door-type squat toilet may require a small amount of water for preliminary cleaning or to assist excreta in entering the fermentation and degradation tank before the excreta enters it.
Water-flushing water-saving technology: Some mobile environmental protection public toilets adopt a water-flushing technical route, clearly relying on water resources to achieve a clean flushing effect. These toilets automatically collect hand-washing water and add special agents to achieve a water-saving flushing standard of 0.46 liters per person. This design makes full use of water resources by reusing hand-washing water, meeting both the toilet-flushing demand and the goal of water conservation. Compared with traditional water-flushing toilets, it significantly reduces water consumption and is suitable for places with high hygiene requirements and certain water resource conditions.
In addition, for microbial degradation mobile toilets, the replacement cycle of microbial strains in the fermentation and degradation tank is generally 3 to 6 months, depending on the usage situation and environmental factors. Meanwhile, some mobile toilets using microbial degradation technology consume about 3 to 5 kilowatt-hours of electricity per day, and the power consumption may vary due to regional differences and different numbers of users.
