Water Container House

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

A water container house is a unique residential form constructed by fixing containers onto floating structures, featuring multiple characteristics.

Structure and Design

Water container houses typically fix containers onto floating structures. For example, two 6.1-meter-long containers can be fixed onto a floating wooden board. This design makes the house resemble a moving island, combining romance and adventure. The containers themselves are sturdy and durable, ensuring the stability and safety of the house, while the floating design provides flexibility and mobility. Some are also handmade. First, the container is firmly fixed, the river surface is cleared, and the side panels are cut. Then, pebbles are laid on the exterior for beautification, and a wooden observation deck with guardrails is built on the top.

Interior Facilities

Although water container houses have relatively compact spaces, they are equipped with comprehensive interior facilities. They are installed with entertainment facilities such as TVs and audio systems, and also come with Apple TVs, allowing occupants to enjoy 360-degree views of the outside scenery, greatly enhancing the comfort and experience of living. The interior floors are polished, and observation glass windows are installed, enabling people to appreciate the flowing water beneath while lying down in the house.

Space Utilization

The interior space is fully utilized, with a reasonable layout that is spacious and bright. Functional areas such as bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, and bathrooms are designed to be practical and aesthetically pleasing, without creating a sense of crowding or oppression.

Appearance and Landscape

The exterior design is simple and elegant, with smooth lines and harmonious color combinations, giving a fresh and natural feel. Since it floats on the water, occupants can enjoy unique water landscapes, such as the shimmering lake surface and swaying lotus leaves.

Environmental Protection and Sustainability

Water container houses can be repurposed and reused from discarded containers, reducing resource waste and environmental pollution. Moreover, as they float on the water, they do not occupy land resources, making a positive contribution to protecting the ecological environment and alleviating urban land shortages.
