How to Use Mobile Toilets in Urban Areas

Admin 11 de octubre de 2026

The usage of mobile toilets in urban areas can be divided into three stages: preparation before use, operation during use, and tidying up after use, as detailed below:

Preparation Before Use

  1. Stability Check: Ensure that the mobile toilet is securely placed on a flat surface without any tilting or wobbling. An uneven surface may cause the toilet to tip over during use, posing a safety hazard.
  2. System Connection Check:
    • For units with a water supply system: Check that the water pipe connections are secure to prevent leaks; ensure that the sewage pipe seals are intact to prevent odor leakage.
    • For waterless units: Confirm in advance that the waste collection device (such as a fecal storage tank) is empty and that odor control measures (such as sealing lids and deodorizers) are in place.
  3. Sign Observation: Before entering, observe the external signs to identify the usage status of male and female sections or accessible stalls to avoid misentry or inconvenience due to long waiting times.

Operation During Use

  1. Enter According to Signs: Choose the appropriate restroom based on the signs and keep the door closed after entering to ensure privacy during use.
  2. Follow Operating Instructions:
    • Flushing mechanism: Activate manual or sensor-based flushing according to the instructions posted inside; some units may require pressing a button or approaching the sensor area.
    • Toilet selection: Some mobile toilets are designed with user-friendly features, offering seat cushions and both sitting and squatting modes for users to adjust according to their needs.
    • Handwashing facilities: Press to dispense hand soap when using it; follow instructions for hand-drying devices (such as hand dryers or paper towel dispensers) to avoid waste or damage.
  3. No Disposal of Debris: Do not throw items other than toilet paper (such as cigarette butts, plastic bottles, beverage cans, etc.) into the toilet bowl. Such debris can easily cause pipe blockages or equipment failures, increasing maintenance costs.

Tidying Up After Use

  1. Close and Lock the Door: Before leaving, ensure that the door lock is engaged to prevent unauthorized entry or loss of items, while also ensuring space security.
  2. Maintain Cleanliness:
    • Do not draw or post advertisements on walls or equipment surfaces to avoid damaging public facilities.
    • Dispose of garbage in designated trash bins; do not litter on the ground or in the toilet bowl to maintain environmental hygiene.

By following standardized usage procedures, the lifespan of mobile toilets can be extended, the failure rate reduced, and convenience provided for subsequent users.
