Dimensions of Urban Mobile Toilets
The dimensions of urban mobile toilets vary depending on their type and functional requirements, with common specifications as follows:

Single-pit mobile toilets are a basic type, with external dimensions typically ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 meters in length, 1.0 to 1.2 meters in width, and 2.2 to 2.5 meters in height. The net width of the toilet area inside is generally not less than 0.85 meters, ideally reaching 0.9 to 1.0 meters, with a net depth of 1.2 to 1.5 meters. Such dimensions ensure that users have a relatively comfortable space for toilet activities while also considering the convenience of transportation and installation of mobile toilets. For example, at small outdoor event venues, single-pit mobile toilets can meet basic toilet needs without occupying excessive space.
Multi-pit combined mobile toilets have different dimensions based on the number of pits. A two-pit unit may have a length of 2.4 to 3.0 meters and a width of 1.0 to 1.2 meters. This combination allows for an increase in the number of toilet stalls within a limited space, improving usage efficiency. Large box-type mobile toilets are even larger, with lengths exceeding 6 meters and widths exceeding 2.5 meters. They may contain multiple male and female toilet stalls, accessible toilets, and a management room inside. They are suitable for venues with high foot traffic, such as large shopping malls and stations, meeting the toilet needs of a large number of people. The presence of a management room facilitates daily cleaning and maintenance by staff.
Multi-functional mobile toilets are suitable for high-end events or fixed venues for long-term use. They have lengths of 3.0 to 4.5 meters, widths of 2.0 to 2.5 meters, and heights of 2.5 to 3.0 meters. In addition to basic toilet functions, they may also be equipped with other facilities, such as sinks and hand dryers, providing a more comfortable and convenient user experience.
Furthermore, according to the Design Standard for Urban Public Toilets (CJJ 14 - 2016), the area index per toilet stall is 5 - 7 square meters for Class I, 3 - 4.9 square meters for Class II, and 2 - 2.9 square meters for Class III. During the design process, factors such as ergonomics, material mechanics, hygiene standards, and practical application scenarios need to be comprehensively considered to ensure that mobile toilets are both practical and compliant with relevant standards.
