Toilet Waterproof Mobile Socket
Strictly speaking, there are relatively few mobile socket products that are completely waterproof, but the waterproof requirements for toilets can be met by choosing mobile sockets with high IP protection ratings, durable materials, and sealed designs. Here are some specific selection suggestions:

1. Prioritize mobile sockets with high IP protection ratings
The IP protection rating is a core standard for measuring the dust and water resistance of electrical equipment. Due to the high humidity and susceptibility to splashing water in toilet environments, different ratings should be selected based on the usage area:
- Shower area: It needs to reach IP66 level, which means it is completely dustproof and can be submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes without water ingress, ensuring that the socket will not be damaged even when water splashes directly during showering.
- Dry area (such as near the sink): Choose at least IP55 level, which can resist low-pressure water jet splashing (such as water splashing during hand washing) and meet daily moisture-proof requirements.
Currently, some outdoor mobile sockets or industrial sockets on the market are labeled with IP ratings. When purchasing, carefully check the product descriptions.
2. Pay attention to material and structural design
- Shell material: Prioritize PC (polycarbonate) or stainless steel materials. PC material is heat-resistant, impact-resistant, and not easily deformed; stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and suitable for long-term humid environments.
- Sealed design: The socket interface should be equipped with a seal ring to prevent water from seeping in through gaps; some products also have safety shutters inside the sockets that automatically close when no plug is inserted, further blocking moisture ingress.
- Drainage design: Some outdoor sockets adopt a tilted shell or bottom drainage holes to avoid water accumulation. However, such designs are relatively rare in mobile sockets and can be used as auxiliary references.
3. Refer to existing types of waterproof socket products
Although completely waterproof mobile sockets are rare, the following products can provide design inspiration:
- Splash-proof series mobile sockets: Such as outdoor waterproof power strips, which usually have basic splash-proof functions (around IP54 level) and are suitable for use in dry areas, but should avoid direct water splashing.
- Bathroom fixed-type waterproof panels: Such as 86-type waterproof boxes or adhesive plug protection boxes. Although they are not mobile sockets, they can achieve local waterproofing by combining them (such as placing an ordinary mobile socket inside a waterproof box) and are suitable for temporary power needs.
4. Usage precautions
Even if a waterproof socket is selected, avoid prolonged immersion or high-pressure water jet flushing; wipe off surface moisture promptly after use and regularly check whether the seal ring is aging or cracked to ensure long-term waterproof performance.
