Toilet Sliding Door (Left-Right)

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

The toilet sliding door, also known as the bathroom sliding door, is a type of door that opens and closes by sliding left and right. It features space-saving, suitability for humid environments, and ease of use, but there are certain installation limitations and safety hazards to be aware of.

Advantages

  • Space-saving: Its unique opening and closing mechanism concentrates the required space almost entirely within a single plane, effectively reducing the space needed in the bathroom and allowing for more flexible layouts, especially in bathrooms with limited space.
  • Suitable for humid environments: Stainless steel bathroom sliding doors are resistant to moisture and less prone to deformation, making daily use more worry-free. The door panels open and close smoothly, with meticulous frame construction and smooth edge treatment, giving them a metallic texture and a clean, attractive appearance that easily matches various decor styles. Additionally, their smooth surfaces are easy to clean.
  • Easy to use: The linear double-sliding glass doors can move bidirectionally, facilitating easy entry and exit from both sides. After opening, the glass panels are flush, providing ample entry space. They also feature bidirectional buffer dampers for safe, quiet operation without pinching fingers.

Installation Limitations and Safety Hazards

  • Door opening size limitations: In small spaces, single-sliding doors are recommended. When the door opening is narrow, double doors may not be suitable.
  • Wall height and width requirements: A door opening height below 1.95 meters can feel oppressive. For suspended sliding doors, a minimum of 12 centimeters of height above the door is required for installation, and the bathroom wall height must be at least 207 centimeters.
  • Track and pulley issues: Improper selection of track materials can lead to stiff operation or noise over time. The quality of the pulleys affects the sliding performance, and poor-quality pulleys can cause derailment and other safety hazards during sliding.

Size Selection

  • The thickness and size of the sliding door should be selected flexibly based on the size of the bathroom. The standard door opening width is 700mm, and a single-sided door requires a net width of 650mm.
  • Large sliding doors can have thicknesses of 50MM, 75MM, or 100MM, with 100MM being the most common. Small sliding doors typically have thicknesses of 50MM, 40MM, or 35MM, with 40MM being more prevalent.
  • If choosing a single-sided sliding door, the bathroom must have a net width of at least 650mm. The extra space on both sides of the door frame is usually 5-15mm, depending on specific decor requirements. Door panel sizes vary based on the selected material.

Installation Process

First, use a level to find the vertical points, then apply structural adhesive for fixation. Attach the frame to the wall, followed by securing the top and bottom tracks. Adjust the pulleys to ensure smooth operation. Finally, install the door, attach the dampers, tighten the door lock, and apply glass adhesive for sealing.
