Mobile Toilet Roll Holder

Admin 24 de septiembre de 2026

Moving a toilet roll holder typically requires selecting the appropriate method based on its installation method (such as adhesive mounting, screw fixing, or suction cup attachment). During operation, pay attention to tool usage and wall protection. If you are unable to handle it yourself, it is recommended to contact a professional.

I. Select the Moving Method Based on Installation Type

  1. Adhesive Mounting Type
    • Heat to Soften the Adhesive: Use a hot air gun or hairdryer to continuously heat the bottom of the toilet roll holder where it contacts the wall for 3-5 minutes to soften the adhesive. Maintain a distance of 10-15 centimeters during heating to avoid damaging the wall with high temperatures.
    • Slowly Peel Off: Insert a plastic scraper (such as an old credit card) from the edge and slowly pry along the gap between the adhesive and the wall to avoid excessive force that may cause the wall to peel off. If adhesive residue remains, wipe it off with alcohol or a specialized adhesive remover.
    • Reinstall: After cleaning the wall, if you need to change the position, ensure the new location is dry and flat, and reapply the adhesive according to the product instructions and fix the holder.
  2. Screw Fixing Type
    • Remove Screws: Use a screwdriver of the corresponding type (such as Phillips or flat-head) to rotate the fixing screws counterclockwise. If the screws are rusted, spray a small amount of lubricant (such as WD-40) to assist in removal.
    • Fill Holes: If the original location needs repair, fill the screw holes with plaster powder or wall repair paste. After drying, sand the surface flat and then paint with latex paint that matches the wall color.
    • Redrill Holes: Mark the drilling points at the new location, use an electric drill (with a 6-8mm drill bit) to drill holes, insert plastic expansion tubes, and then install screws to fix the toilet roll holder.
  3. Suction Cup Attachment Type
    • Release the Suction Cup: Pinch the edge of the suction cup with your hand and slowly pull it to one side to allow air to enter between the suction cup and the wall, reducing the suction force and then remove it.
    • Clean Surfaces: Wipe the suction cup and the wall with clean water to remove dust or grease. After drying, press and attach it to the new location again, ensuring there are no air bubbles.

II. Moving Precautions

  • Tool Selection: Avoid using metal sharp tools to pry directly to prevent scratching the wall; wear goggles when operating an electric drill.
  • Wall Protection: Use masking tape to protect the edges of tiled walls. After operating on latex-painted walls, check for paint peeling.
  • Load-Bearing Consideration: The new location must be able to bear the weight of the toilet roll holder when fully loaded (about 2-3kg). Avoid installing it on non-load-bearing structures such as gypsum board.

III. Handling Special Situations

If the toilet roll holder needs to be replaced due to aging or damage, it is recommended to choose a new product that is compatible with the original installation method. If the wall is made of glass or metal, use specialized adhesive or a magnetic toilet roll holder. If you are not familiar with the operation or the wall has high value (such as marble or artistic paint), it is recommended to contact the property management or a decorator to handle it to avoid losses caused by self-operation.
