Toilet Moved and Leaking Above
Leakage above the toilet after relocation may be caused by issues with the connection parts, damage to the waterproof layer, or problems with the sewer pipe connection. It can be resolved by checking the connecting components, using permeable waterproof materials, or applying plastic-steel mud.

If leakage occurs after the toilet is relocated, first consider issues with the connection parts. During the relocation process, the gasket at the connection may become loose or accumulate debris, resulting in larger gaps and subsequent leakage. In this case, first inspect the connecting components at the toilet relocation site to check if the gasket is loose. If it is found to be loose, clean away the debris and then re-tighten the gasket to see if the leakage problem can be resolved.
If the leakage problem persists after inspecting and tightening the connecting components, then it is necessary to suspect issues with the waterproof layer or the sewer pipe connection. Toilet relocation may damage the original waterproof layer, allowing moisture to penetrate to the floor below; or the sewer pipe connection may not be tight, causing water to overflow.
For cases where the waterproof layer is damaged, you can choose to use permeable waterproof materials. For example, waterproofing agents can be mixed into water and then poured onto the floor or sprayed on walls, pipe connections, floor drains, and other areas. After drying, a waterproof film will form, preventing moisture from leaking.
If you suspect damage to the waterproof layer connection or a broken sewer pipe, you can consider using plastic-steel mud. After purchasing plastic-steel mud, apply it to the corresponding sewer pipes, such as around the toilet and floor drains. If a pipe is found to be broken, wrap it with plastic-steel mud at the break to provide sealing and waterproofing.
When dealing with leakage problems after toilet relocation, accurately determine the cause of the leakage based on the specific situation and then choose an appropriate method for resolution to ensure effective problem-solving and avoid greater losses.
