Mobile Toilet Exhaust Fan

Admin 09 de octubre de 2026

The design and selection of mobile toilet exhaust fans should consider ventilation efficiency, noise control, and spatial adaptability. The key points are as follows:

1. Exhaust System Design Specifications
The exhaust vent location should be scientifically planned: the top or high on the side wall (above 1.8 meters from the ground) is an ideal choice to avoid airflow disturbances in areas where people are active, while reducing the risk of direct sunlight and rain intrusion. The ventilation ducts should follow the principle of being "short, straight, and smooth," with a recommended diameter of no less than 10 centimeters to ensure minimal airflow resistance. For split-type mobile toilets, PVC ducts can be used to connect the exhaust vents of each compartment, forming a unified exhaust path and improving overall ventilation efficiency.

2. Types of Exhaust Fans and Suitable Scenarios

  • Portable Exhaust Fans: Suitable for temporary or small mobile toilets, such as diagonal flow booster duct fans (approximately 1680 yuan) or split-type duct ventilation fans (159.6-668 yuan). These devices are compact and flexible to install, but attention should be paid to power matching. For a single toilet compartment, an axial or centrifugal fan with an air volume of 15-20 cubic meters per minute is recommended to avoid odor retention due to insufficient air volume.
  • Quiet Ventilation Fans: Priority should be given to noise-sensitive scenarios (such as scenic spots and exhibitions), such as Songtian split-type duct fans (520 yuan) or hotel engineering silent exhaust fans (156 yuan). They reduce operating noise by optimizing impeller structure and using soundproof materials while maintaining basic exhaust requirements.
  • Integrated Devices: For space-constrained scenarios, integrated lighting and ventilation models (such as 149 yuan integrated ceiling exhaust fans) can be selected. These save installation space through modular design, but it is necessary to confirm whether the power meets the exhaust volume requirements.

3. Auxiliary Measures to Enhance Effectiveness
Odor control requires a multi-pronged approach: Install activated carbon adsorption devices at the end of the exhaust ducts to filter out major odor components such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia; or use deodorizing liquid spray systems to neutralize volatile organic compounds in the air through timed spraying. In addition, regular cleaning of the exhaust vent filters (recommended once a week) is crucial. Filter clogging can lead to a more than 30% decrease in air volume, significantly affecting ventilation efficiency.

4. Selection and Maintenance Considerations
Fan selection should comprehensively consider usage frequency and budget: For high-frequency usage scenarios (such as music festivals and construction sites), it is recommended to choose durable centrifugal fans. Although the initial cost is higher, the long-term maintenance cost is lower; for low-frequency usage scenarios, cost-effective axial fans can be selected. During installation, rainproof louvers and insect screens should be added to prevent rainwater backflow and insects from entering the ducts. Daily maintenance should record the fan's operating hours. After accumulating more than 5000 hours of operation, check the bearing wear and replace the lubricating oil or parts in a timely manner.
