Tibet Residential Container House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The Tibet residential container house is a modular building transformed from containers as the base material, featuring efficiency, economy, and environmental protection. It is suitable for various scenarios in the special plateau environment.

I. Structure and Materials
The main frame of the Tibet residential container house is mostly made of weather-resistant steel (such as Q235B and Q345), with a plate thickness of no less than 1.6mm, ensuring wind resistance, earthquake resistance, and stacking load-bearing capacity. The container body structure is designed through professional calculations and can withstand earthquakes above magnitude 7 and typhoons of level 12, adapting to the characteristics of high wind pressure and frequent earthquakes in plateau regions. The thermal insulation layer usually uses materials such as polyurethane, rock wool, or glass wool, with a thickness of over 75mm-100mm, effectively coping with the large temperature difference between day and night and strong ultraviolet rays in Lhasa.

II. Types and Advantages

  1. Cargo-container type: Transformed from traditional cargo containers, it has a sturdy structure, can withstand high pressure, and is suitable for long-term fixed use.
  2. Welded-box type: Its technical standards are slightly lower than those of cargo containers, but it is convenient for transportation, installation, and movement, with lower costs. Its lifespan can reach over a dozen years, and it has a high return on investment.
  3. Foldable type: It is simple to make, has a stable structure, and is easy to install and dismantle on-site. It can be operated by 2-3 people, has low transportation costs (a 6-meter vehicle can carry 6 sets), and can be stacked in multiple layers when stored, offering large optimization space for use costs. It also has fire resistance, earthquake resistance, wind resistance, and rain leakage prevention properties and can be folded repeatedly over 500 times.

III. Application Scenarios

  1. Engineering construction: Used as project command centers, worker camps, and temporary offices, meeting the needs of rapid deployment, mobility, and cost control.
  2. Commerce and cultural tourism: Used for characteristic homestays, resort hotels, commercial street shops, etc., focusing on exterior design sense, interior comfort, and personalized styling.
  3. Public services: Used as emergency shelters, epidemic quarantine points, mobile police stations, etc., emphasizing rapid response, safety, reliability, and functional integration.
  4. Other fields: Such as temporary classrooms in schools, field research stations, and plateau outposts, requiring environmental adaptability and long-term use.

IV. Plateau Adaptability
The Tibet residential container house has strengthened its earthquake and wind resistance and thermal insulation performance in response to the plateau climate characteristics. It also uses environmentally friendly materials (such as formaldehyde emission level E1) and complies with national and industry standards (such as the Technical Specification for Container Modular Combined Houses CECS 334:2013), ensuring stable operation in low-oxygen, strong ultraviolet, and large temperature difference environments.
