Tibet Container House Sizes

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The common sizes of container houses in Tibet are as follows:

I. Standard Container House Sizes

  1. International standard container houses mainly come in 20-foot and 40-foot containers. The external dimensions of a 20-foot container are 5898mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height), with internal dimensions of approximately 5867mm (length) × 2330mm (width) × 2350mm (height). It has a volume of about 30 cubic meters and a load capacity of about 17.5-20 tons, suitable for single-person offices, dormitories, or shops. The external dimensions of a 40-foot container are 12024mm (length) × 2352mm (width) × 2390mm (height), with internal dimensions of approximately 11998mm (length) × 2330mm (width) × 2350mm (height). It has a volume of about 65 cubic meters and a load capacity of about 26-28 tons, and can be divided into multi-functional spaces or multi-person dormitories.

  2. Among high-cube containers, the height of a 40-foot high-cube container (40HC) is increased to 2698mm, with an internal height of 2655mm and a volume of about 75 cubic meters, suitable for exhibition halls or housing with height requirements. The volume of a 45-foot high-cube container is further expanded to 86 cubic meters, with a load capacity of about 29 tons, meeting larger space requirements.

II. Non-standard Customized and Special Type Sizes

  1. Non-standard customized sizes are flexible, with common specifications including 3m × 6m, 3m × 8m, 3m × 12m, etc. The width can be 2.5m, 2.55m, 3m, or 4m, and the height can be 2.6m, 2.7m, 2.8m, or 2.9m. Door and window positions, partitions, and interior decoration can be adjusted according to site and functional requirements.

  2. The internal dimensions of a packed container house are 5880mm (length) × 2840mm (width) × 2500mm (height). It uses galvanized steel structures and sandwich panel walls, suitable for modular assembly scenarios.

  3. Foldable container mobile homes save transportation costs through compression design. A 6.8-meter truck can transport 6-7 sets, and a 17-meter truck can transport 20 sets, suitable for long-distance transportation needs in Tibet.

III. Core Principles for Size Selection

  1. Functional Suitability: Choose standard containers or high-cube containers according to the usage scenario (such as dormitories, offices, or shops) to ensure maximum space utilization.

  2. Transportation Convenience: Due to the complex terrain in Tibet, non-standard customized or foldable designs can reduce transportation difficulty and costs.

  3. Expansion Flexibility: Area expansion can be achieved through splicing combinations (such as vertical or horizontal splicing) to meet temporary or long-term usage needs.
