Tianjin Mobile Toilet Installation Method
The installation method for mobile toilets in Tianjin should be carried out in accordance with local process characteristics and the following standardized procedures:

1. Foundation Construction Select the foundation type based on site conditions: For permanent installations, a precast concrete foundation is required, with a load-bearing capacity of no less than 5kN/m². For temporary or scenic area projects, a detachable foundation (such as steel anchor fixtures used in some scenic spots in Tianjin) can be adopted for easier site restoration later. Foundation construction must ensure a flat ground surface with an error margin of no more than ±5mm to prevent toilet tilting or water leakage due to unstable foundations.
2. Modular Assembly
- Frame Construction: The main frame is made of stainless steel or thickened aluminum alloy, prefabricated in the factory and then assembled on-site by hoisting. First, secure the base, then sequentially install the wall panels (food-grade stainless steel panels or SMC molded panels), and tighten the connections with high-strength screws to ensure a frame verticality deviation of no more than 3mm.
- Roof and Ventilation Installation: The roof slot must fit tightly with the frame, and the roof cover should be made of waterproof and UV-resistant materials. The ventilation system should be equipped with windproof louvers with an inclination angle of no less than 15° to prevent direct cold winds in winter and sand ingress, while ensuring an air exchange rate of no less than 80m³/h.
3. Water and Electricity Connection and Facility Installation
- Pipeline Connection: Water and electricity pipelines should use quick-connect interfaces, with installation time controlled within 2 hours. The electrical system must be equipped with a leakage protection device (with an operating current of no more than 30mA), and sockets should be of IP54 splash-proof design. The water system should use ceramic cartridge faucets and aerators, and heating tapes should be installed in winter to prevent freezing.
- Sanitary Fittings Installation: The squat toilet should adopt an odor-proof water seal design (with a water seal height of no less than 50mm), and the internal partitions should be made of impact-resistant panels with a height of no less than 1.8m. Lighting fixtures should be moisture-proof LED lights, and the ventilation equipment should be linked with the roof system to ensure internal air quality standards are met.
4. Inspection and Commissioning After completion, the installation must pass the inspection according to Tianjin's "Technical Requirements for Mobile Environmental Sanitation Facilities" (DB12/T 690-2015), with a focus on checking the following:
- Air Tightness: After closing all doors and windows, the internal air pressure change rate should be no more than 5Pa/min.
- Drainage Sealing: After flushing tests, there should be no water accumulation on the ground or leakage from the drainage pipes.
- Anti-slip Performance: The ground friction coefficient should be no less than 0.6, meeting safety standards. During the commissioning phase, three consecutive flushing tests, electrical insulation tests, and ventilation system operation tests should be conducted to ensure all functions are normal. For integrated box-type toilets, on-site installation only requires hoisting into place and connecting water and electricity, with the installation time shortened to 2-4 hours.
