Three-Story Container House
A three-story container house is a building form that is rapidly constructed through modular methods, featuring efficiency, environmental friendliness, and stability.

Efficient and Fast Construction Method: The three-story container house adopts a modular construction approach. Taking the three-story multi-purpose office building in the factory area of COSCO Shipping Nantong as an example, it is precisely assembled from 96 specially made housing containers. The manufacturing of the containers takes only 6 days, and the on-site assembly takes 5 days, with the entire building construction completed in just 11 days. This construction method significantly shortens the project duration. Compared to traditional construction methods, it can be put into use more quickly, meeting urgent residential or office needs.
Significant Upgrades in 2.0 Version Modular Building Skills:
- Lightweight yet Exquisite 'Skeleton': The 2.0 version modular office building consists of 48 6-meter standard containers and 48 14-meter extended containers. It uses 6-millimeter steel plates bent into shape as the top beams, bottom beams, and side beams, replacing the previously heavy square tubes. This change not only makes the container skeleton more exquisite but also achieves lightweighting, saving on steel costs and transportation expenses. At the same time, the building facade is more streamlined and simple, and the structural stability is greatly improved.
- High-Precision 'Prefabrication': The '6-meter + 14-meter' integrated large modules are prefabricated and welded in the factory and transported to the site as complete functional units. On-site, only overall hoisting and inter-layer connections are required, significantly reducing the workload. Moreover, since it is prefabricated in the factory, the dimensions are more precise, and the container拼接 (assembly) is tighter, resulting in a shorter delivery time.
- Environmentally Friendly and Self-Healing 'Skin': The interior walls of the building are extensively covered with uncoated zinc-magnesium-aluminum plates, reducing VOC emissions from paint spraying and being more environmentally friendly. This material presents a delicate and high-grade metallic texture and also provides long-lasting corrosion and moisture resistance. Furthermore, it has a unique 'self-healing' ability, adapting well to high-humidity coastal environments, truly achieving greenness, aesthetics, and durability.
Wide Range of Applications: Container houses, also known as container housing, container movable houses, container residences, or residential containers, are building forms that are transformed from containers as the basic structural modules for habitation or office use. They are characterized by environmental friendliness, flexibility, and low cost and have been widely used in fields such as temporary housing, creative spaces, and post-disaster emergency buildings.
