In Wujiamen Village, Anfusi Town, Zhijiang City, Yichang, within the Three Gorges region, there is a rural housing project that employs prefabricated building techniques. This project is undertaken by Hubei Guangsheng Construction Group Co., Ltd. The main structural components are manufactured in a factory and then transported to the site for assembly. This construction method offers numerous advantages. Safety and efficiency are among its notable features. Factory production ensures the quality and precision of components, reducing errors and safety hazards during on-site construction. Additionally, the speed of on-site assembly is relatively fast, significantly shortening the construction cycle. Environmental protection is also a key advantage. Factory production reduces wet operations on-site, lowering dust and noise pollution, aligning with the development concept of green buildings.
Furthermore, the Three Gorges Science and Technology Innovation Employment Service Base project (Three Gorges Hotel) in Yichang also utilizes prefabricated components. This project incorporates prefabricated floor slabs, prefabricated interior partition wall panels, and prefabricated stairs, with the application ratio of prefabricated components exceeding 60%. Moreover, the project adopts a prefabricated steel structure + ALC wall panel system, which combines the high strength and light weight of steel structures with the thermal insulation, sound insulation, and other advantages of ALC wall panels, further enhancing the overall performance of the building.
These cases indicate that prefabricated house technology has been practically applied and developed in the Three Gorges region. By adopting factory production and on-site assembly methods, prefabricated house technology has transformed traditional construction models, improving the quality and efficiency of buildings while also meeting the requirements of sustainable development.
