The Production Process of Container Houses

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

The production process of container houses includes five core steps: foundation structure construction, wall and roof treatment, interior decoration and functional enhancement, detail refinement and protection, and adaptation to special scenarios. The specific process is as follows:

1. Foundation Structure Construction
The main framework is welded with steel to ensure structural stability. The chassis frame usually employs channel steel or square steel (for example, a 3m×6m container uses 4×8×2.0 square steel with a spacing of 35 centimeters). The columns and roof ring beams are connected by full-welding with 5×5×2.0 square steel. For multi-story structures, the upper and lower containers are supported by transverse steel beams, and the top gaps need to be reinforced with super-strong adhesive in three layers to prevent rain leakage. At this stage, it is necessary to strictly follow mechanical design principles to avoid structural deformation caused by poor welding or insufficient material strength.

2. Wall and Roof Treatment
The wall and roof panels are mostly made of 50mm thick purified boards or plywood. Space for windows should be reserved and fixed with aluminum alloy trim. The roof requires the installation of joists and the reservation of drainage slopes (usually with a slope of ≥5%) and wire holes. Some designs cover plastic film barriers and fiberboard ceilings to enhance waterproofing. After cutting the positions for doors and windows, special color-coated steel plate doors (e.g., with dimensions of 930×2000) and sliding windows (standard dimensions of 930×1000) should be installed to ensure airtightness.

3. Interior Decoration and Functional Enhancement

  • Floor Laying: Install building formwork, subfloor, tile adhesive on the chassis in sequence, and finally lay tiles or wooden floors.
  • Sound Insulation and Insulation: Fill glass fiber wool between the wall frames and cover it with a plastic film barrier to block sound transmission.
  • Thermal Insulation: Add 10cm thick polyurethane insulation boards (containing fire-resistant materials) to the exterior walls and stuff insulation cotton batting in the roof to ensure stable indoor temperatures.
  • Electrical Installation: When laying wires, reserve holes for air conditioners. The height of switches and sockets from the floor should be uniformly 60 centimeters, and lighting fixtures should comply with safety voltage standards.

4. Detail Refinement and Protection

  • Sealing and Waterproofing: Use glass curtain wall waterproof adhesive (with waterproof performance 5-6 times stronger than ordinary adhesive) on the roof panels and joints to ensure no leakage.
  • Anti-theft and Safety: Install anti-theft nets on windows and reinforce all steel nail connections to prevent human damage.
  • Appearance Treatment: Paint or cover with painted thin steel plate angles. Some designs add solar panels to achieve energy self-sufficiency.

5. Adaptation to Special Scenarios

  • Mobile Function: If a recreational vehicle function is required, axles can be installed at the bottom and a suspension system can be configured.
  • Temporary Use: Prefabricated container houses can be quickly stacked and placed, with assembly completed in 3-7 days, suitable for post-disaster reconstruction or temporary office use on construction sites.
  • Environmental Protection Treatment: When using scrapped containers, the middle iron plate walls need to be cut and reinforced by welding to avoid the residue of harmful substances.

Different manufacturers may adjust materials according to needs (such as using sawdust board subfloors or building formwork chassis), but the overall process revolves around structural reinforcement, functional integration, and protection treatment to ensure the safety, comfort, and durability of the houses.
